I still don’t understand the word “furloughed”. It means a temporary “lay-off”.
If they didn’t “show up”/put in the hours for work, they don’t get paid, though no fault of their own!
“Let employees work for the pay they’re going to receive.”
Maw said she received “back-pay” long ago back in 1995 during the Clinton administration, but must and has continued to work in order to receive her money.

Well, that would explain waiting for nothing after 13 slong years! And that would include the stuff on “pieces of papers”.

Okay, y’all (government) need to close your check books/cut your credit cards, even if it means to “tighten your belts”, meaning forgo luxury items and services and starve yourselves with cold cuts, bread, and water of necessary. Don’t rack up interest. Pay your principles first. Cut your electricity usage (no more great palming overseas via federal contractors and pals). Cut your gasoline consumption/don’t use your vehicles, and walk the “long, hard path” by feet, even if y’all have to go without shoes!
Bottom-line: Pay your bills!
