Would you believe that I’ve been READING? That’s right! I’ve gotten addicted to my new NOOK and have used almost $5 credit from a gift card for eBooks. Then I’ve subscribed to a magazine and am trying a 14-day “FREE TRIAL” subscription of our local newspaper. It’s something that I’d imagine doing in my old age.
Since I’m probably going to remain un/deremployed for the rest of my life, count me in as among the “senior citizens” on a somewhat “early retirement”. Unfortunately, I do NOT live on a fixed income. I would be like those religious folks dedicated to the mission of serving others as themselves and living off of donations by charitable/good folks.
Hopefully, with enough reading materials, I’ll keep busy, besides supporting the “meme” of managing the house as prep cook and dishwasher. Paw could handle the gardening and vacuuming; while Maw does a role as foreman/supervisor to keep things running smoothly around the place.
My hope is to improve my writing/blogging skills and develop an easier flow of “thoughts” after exposing myself to the wonders of cassowaries, for example. Although the text/print was a little bit small for my myopic eyes, I managed to finish the magazine article: Did you know that the fathers sit/incubate/raise the chicks and that the mothers are taller than the dads?
I think it’s flu season because I’m starting to cough from exposure to the colder temperature. Whoo-Hoo! I probably can skip singing until my cold runs its course! Usually, I get sick around October; so it’s fast closing upon me. But since I’m NOT exposed to the cooties of strangers at the workplace, I might be able to avoid getting too sick to function as a choir member.
Cough! Cough! Bahaha!
