OMG! While standing at the choir section, my “sixth sense” had to look left at the new/old officers of the KofC standing at front-most/right-section pews facing the altar. I caught site of the fourth person sitting from the center aisle. He had mousy gray hair. His “wife” was standing to his left. She might have looked Asian or something. The whole row was filled with officers.
Paw said someone from the “fold” sat behind Maw/him. They sat at their usual positions of this front-most/right-section of pews, but at the right aisle and four pews from the back of this section.
Anyway, what I saw, and I kid you not (a la “El Rushbeau” sound-bite), that he flashed a Masonic hand sign/al! It was the same one that politicians/whoever would use.
This first one, as already mentioned in my previous blog entries, was forming an inverted pyramid/triangle with fingertips/thumbs touching only and was resting at the solar plexus. It was quickly done upon my first sight and then returned as I would at the same location.
I looked away and straight ahead at the west-facing/eastern section of pews, where I saw more “white folks” standing at the pews and leaning at the back wall to their right.
I quickly flashed the same sign and returned my prayerful-fingers intertwined (as normal) over my solar plexus. This “neutral” position is to stabilize my injured rotor cuffs for both shoulders and nothing more, okay?!) No wonder my hands shook during the responsorial!
His second hand sign/al, which I’m NOT too familiar but have seen it somewhere, say, online. Anyway, his left thumb was resting inside his right/inner thumb, with the four digits/right fingers resting over the left hand/index finger area.
(That’s how I learn stuff. I just browse at the “weird stuff” and observe if such incidences would occur in my immediate sphere/surroundings.) Alas, my local parish is truly “blessed”. I may be the only “outsider” who knows this stuff. Wow. Bahaha! Hehe! Tehehe!
