Obama played it safe by letting the representatives of the American people, take the fall, err, make the “choice” whether or not America should initiate overseas assault on Syria after 2.5 years.
Obama could have made a unilateral strike without other nations. But that’s too “gung-ho”, don’t y’all think so? He could have taken all the bloody glory and claim any victory from such a “choice”.
However, could he live with himself knowing that military personnel and civilian lives were lost due to his “choice” to exercise his pre-emptive strike against a country that killed its own people?
Oh well… I guess Congress could take as long as month to authorize this “choice”. Anyway, Obama needs to provide whatever American “interest” could be had with this war and to provide the after-effects/plan of withdrawals and such, too. Okay? Good!
