20111207-Random Thoughts

Per deleted comment submitted on 20111213 at 16:07:31 PM PST: Just an old thought: I noticed that Sid’s facial tone started to change/shift in color to show spider veins and a slight ruddy streaks while the four of us talked underneath the heat of the sun of the garden/patio section.

12/07/2011 15:44. At 02:33pm, I saw Shrimpsei’s first/broken off brass nano-pendant near the squash, to the “right” of the pear tree. That item keeps getting lost. Now that I have it somewhere in my pocket downstairs, I will crochet a caddy to keep it from “running away”. Bad!

At 03:20pm, I finished loading the dried leaves and other fallen debris from yard work done these past two days. I had to improvise how I wanted to “store” the yard trimmings until tomorrow morning. Friday is usually the pick up of yard trimmings and no one is supposed to dump anything on MY long stretch of (public) road within 24 hours of pick-up time. But we still see some small piles no higher than four (4) feet in height placed along the street and NOT blocking the gutter ways in case there is a freak flood storm that needs to drain into the sewers.

Anyway, I used my new nine by nine, green-colored tarp for $9.98 from THD. It seemed too wide for this one dump. But when I raked yesterday’s trimmings by Paw of three chayote vines and two bitter melon plants, I saw how this large tarp did its job well. Plus, it would make a great covering over the lawn in the backyard, just in case we have to camp out (rarely).

I “borrowed” Paw’s garbage bin and tried loading my persimmon leaves, only to realize that I needed something LARGER, like the recycling bin. So I had to remove Paw’s weekly recycled items with is old green-colored rake and green-colored broom and placed those items into an OLD yellow-colored, hard plastic recycling container.

With whatever ounce of strength I have, I lifted the garage bin full of persimmon leaves and such and dumped it in to the recycling bin. Then I replaced Paw’s meticulously clean TRIPLE bag of weekly trash back into the first bin.

With a second yellow-colored, hard plastic recycling container, I use my “walis” (Asian broom) to scoop it in the this container, which is much larger than an ordinary, metal dust pan with a long handle. Then I dump the contents from this yellow container into the gray recycle bin.

So with recycled bin filled to the brim, one wheelbarrow and one tarp later, I feel I’ve accomplished something good because Paw is older, slower and doesn’t seem to care nowadays. I must be his mean boy that he never had… Hehehehe!

12/07/2011 15:45pm. Monday, I saw the ladder to the permisson tree. That was around the time that I heard movement in the backyard of the divorced nutter. Thank goodness Maw hollered at me to put on a jacket and to get inside because it was getting cold and that I might catch a cold/relapse after getting well. This morning, we saw a LONG red/maroon-colored carpet propped up against OUR shared streetlight. The old man/renter driving the gray station wagon was parked in front of the driveway with his engine running because I could see the stream coming out of the tailpipe. At 7:40am, he left right away, just as we pulled out the MB E430 out of our garage/driveway.

12/07/2011 11:29am. After locating my tarp for yard trimmings, Sid helped us with wheelbarrows. We wanted to get two new wooden handles for our old, rusty wheelbarrow but didn’t do our homework. He explained that most screws are 3/8 and/or 5/16 and that we needed our driller, drill bit of 5/16 and dimensions of the old wooden handle if we wanted to replace it that way. We decided to duct tape the left handle. He went on to describe his career with Chevron and got stocks which split twice from two more acquisitions with Gulf and Pennzoil. He’s got $850,000 in 401K but mysteriously still works at a local hardware store. Hmm. He can’t withdraw it until he is old and cranky at 62 to 65 years of age so he can spend whatever darn hard-earned work he’s got with his only daughter. So you see folks, “spreading the wealth” is not a nice idea when you actually talke to PERSONS who are VERY intelligent. His speech/knowledge base is commendable, thought.

12/07/2011 09:11am. Earlier this morning, we listed to Brian Sussman and Officer Vic crack jokes. We love them. Anyway, it was about how Benicia High School decorated the “student union” for the festivities. Some got offended (as the principal), the decorations were taken down, the group and its leader/s protested and before noontime, the decorations went up. The decoration inside the Denny’s restaurant was nice. I noticed not religious symbols were represent here. All I saw were BIG white snowflakes, redo bows, silver and red stars, gold, and silver bells and balls, and streams of greenery.

12/07/2011 08:56am. We decided to eat breakfast at Denny’s and parked to the left of a vehicle, which had two LESBIANS making out with/kissing each other.

12/07/2011 08:47am. Poi talked to Maw about falling down. Apparently, there was a healing mass. I said under my breath that she couldn’t take “good energy”. Her droopy eyes indicate a “loss of spirit” and the fact that she is sad over a certain BEST friend doesn’t give a damn: We noticed Rachel seems to space out.

12/07//2011 08:30am. “Binh” was eyeing his two cardboard boxes, filled with persimmon fruits, harvested from his backyard. He was munching one persimmon with black spots on it: The fruit kept hitting the roof from the recent gust of winds. “Minh” was talking to Maw about how the name of “Binh” followed the name of Carlos on the “souvenir book”. It so happens that “Binh” was the one that hired Carlos to work in our local parish. “Binh” in effect deserved recognition for being the pioneer of the place, NOT Carlos. I greeted Carlos, who mentioned how persimmon taste good when frozen like popsicle. He was getting too loud. But “Binh” and Carlos are NOT in good terms, sort of. Poi got some persimmon. I caught a Filipino lady who filled her black Coach bag with more than a dozen fruits. I swear. My own culture is shameful!

12/07/2011 08:00am. I noticed the “Binh” had two holes, one on the back of each pocket of his faded jeans. That reminded me of how the boy, too, disrepects the church by wearing “inappropriate” attire. I don’t know what these type of people are trying to prove.

12/07/2011 08:00am. While waiting for morning mass to start, I noticed a elderly man sitting on the second pew from the back of the front left section. He had on a light olive green jacket with a darker shade, fur-lined collar. The back of the jacket had three rows of black-colored letters with two more finer.unreadable print:

“FLAG

USS TUCSON

CL-98 AA.”
