As fast as I could, I tried to push for the final Lenten Season project. Unfortunately and at 3:00pm, the GBC ShredMaster 70S-1 (Model No. 1750375) wasn’t fully performing. Sure, it still could shred but it made a SLOW, whirring noise. Thinking I could be its savior, I removed seven screws, vacuumed the dust bunnies inside, and even used the air compressor to further remove the gray dust left over from years of shredding service. It still moved but it wasn’t fast. R.I.P. and off it went to the Goodwill, along with a Sony stereo turntable system (PS-LX250H) and a “Wonder Washer” and its rolling pins.
But prior to donating, I got new a $24.99 Staples shredding machine. It worked nicely because it was the LIGHTEST among the rest and can cross-cut a maximum of 8-sheets. But it’s only because I’d have to claim the rebate — a VISA debit card worth $20! I’m getting lazy just trying to claim something they could have discounted up front at the cash register. It’s such a gimmick.
Anyway, we arrived home late at around 5:45pm because we got fuel for Paw’s Mazda Protoge and six eggrolls from King’s Eggrolls. Then at around 7:00pm, we were finished eating dinner and washing up. Maw had just finished showering at around 7:15pm. It will be my turn just as soon as my system relaxes and when I finish this blog entry.
