So after over a week, the “Honey 437” RV (or recreational vehicle) has left the scene. After lunch and washing dishes and at around 12:05pm, the three of us stepped out and walked around OUR block for about ten minutes. By the final “quarter” of the walk, I noticed a brunette-haired, shortened, pot-bellied, fat “moo-cow” walked briskly across MY road from what used to be the house of “Terry, the Mexicana” to the RV, which has been parked underneath MY eucalyptus tree.
I doubled backed my steps to approach the RV as the twosome slowly dragged their feet for the last two minutes. I kind of said aloud: “You’re not supposed to be parked on our streets for more than 72 hours”. In our city, the abatement unit is supposed to cite these vehicles if stationary on public streets for more that 72 hours. Paw most certainly had wanted to call the city about the pollution in HIS territory. But Maw felt it wasn’t any of our damn business to rat on the homeless.
Later on that day, I kept flicking off the would-be annoyance each and every time I’d let the lid to our LARGE recycling bin come crashing down to a close. I was really throwing a lot of paper out that day and had been in and out of the house, through the back door and at the recycling bin almost a dozen times. I guess the “Cucaracha” took a hint. She had braided hair, by the way.
