While scanning and coding my old statements, I recall a guy telling me: “You don’t even have that much money.” At that time, I had wanted to invest some money and he referred me to one well-known brokerage firm via his friend, Vicki. When I applied to open an account with them, I had put his “nickname” and full last name a referral. The customer service representative called me back to confirm the name of that person and I believe that I pronounced his full name, including his middle initial “J”.
Fast forward 14 years later, I’m still a customer of that place. If you know my true agent name, it’s on a general search online. The site in which my name happens to appear has a designated double digit. For the sports fan, the last name is also familiar. And it’s no wonder he bumped me off. He’s related to a group of “fellow brothers”, I assume of course. Because as I mentioned in my previous blog entries, no one would get into that league a “mile high” without connections, not that it has anything to do with “Chicago” style type songs. But you get the idea.
