I loved my calligraphy class in high school. I got an “A minus” but threw away that piece of crap. It was two paper medium — one black cardboard with my initial “B” on the white paper. The edges to the paper were rough. The teacher was Japanese.
In college, I loved theories behind the art allows me the appreciation of not just form but the beauty behind each work. I got a “B minus” in that class. During the finals, I maximuzed my time allotted and was the last one out of the classroom. The professor was a White woman who’d ALWAYS wear a big flower on her left jacket.
