So earlier today, I checked my personal email online. And all throughout my career this is the only division that continues to claim not to receive my faxed time sheet by Friday or that there is something wrong with the transmission. It could be that the fax machine of the client doesn’t work well. I don’t know.
But what I do know is that this “head hunter” is internationally known. But for whatever reason, they continue to delay my weekly paycheck by one week.
It’s true that working as a temporary employee has it’s freedom of not being committed like slaves compared to the full-time staffs of the employer/client. But the “head hunters” are ripping us off with cheap health care insurance, low pay, and underemployment.
And yesterday another temporary worker through reliable source(s) emailed the two of us that this particular client lays off people in our area. It’s no wonder I haven’t seen little Ashley for a few weeks after a bunch of new guys converged in that cubicle area.
“Que sera, sera. What will be, will be.” (a classic sung by Doris Day). Yeah, so whatever happens to us temporary workers, we really don’t think much about what will happen. And if it does, then that’s it.
