After work, I had a few minutes to talk with Maw who reported to me that the “banana nut bread” lady (Mercedes) and her very white-haired husband, who is eleven years her senior. Both were sitting a few pews behind Maw and Paw. Both sat through part of the rosary session following each morning mass just for today in the hopes that the banana nutter who go away. Maw looked back several times but older farts continued to sit through the prayers.
When the coast was clear, the husband knew Maw and Pa were trying to escape the conversation. Of course the target was Father Paul, the Vietnamese who came from a wealthy family. He is noted for waking up late — sometimes five to ten minutes later than the normal 8:00am schedule. The priest would stare at the nutter, who doens’t know how to shut up. The nutter followed him as he tried to walked away to shake hands and talk with other parishioners. That woman is nuts.
Prior to Valentine’s Day, the couple had visited our home. But I was at work when the nutter was asking for MONEY to get into a pagent called “Mrs. Valentines”. Maw scolded her really good: “You are wasting your money! Why not spend for your children and your grandchildren or help Cealdanio’s poor relatives back home and the needy? No one has the money in this dire econmoic times or will give you anything because you are too old. Most seniors are on fixed income. And those promoters will decide who gets the crown. They’d pocket your “large contribution” and you’d loose anyway.”
“Oh! You are so mean.” smiled the nutter. “Did you know I give a weekly contribution in the amount of $200 to our local parish? I also helped Fred in his times of need by cooking and giving him food even though I didn’t contribute anything to help out with the funeral and burial of his deceased wife, Rose. I also teach accounting in the Phillippines.”

So, you see folks. When I blog about spooks, they actually do exist. As much as possible, Maw tries to avoid these people, especially that nutter who gives Maw the shivering “willies” throughout her body. But like me, we get the weirdos from overseas to this “temp job from hell” — mostly FOREIGNERS, who give mean looking faces at me. It’s truly shameful what this nutter does — asking money from family and friends when they have grown children who are working. The way Mercedes converses is truly evil. No wonder her sister beat her up long ago. She must have said or done something horribly wrong!
