Today is beautiful! There were lots of fluffy, puffy clouds of white; some gray-colored blocks of clouds; high-altitude popcorns marching in various arrays; horizontal arrays; and horizontal ones, too
The sunshine was shining brightly and the weather was cool but not warm enough for me but hot enough for Maw. Paw was his usual quiet self.
The boy came over and ate lunch and will find a new home for his old computer monitor at work. He took his tower back and will diagnos the problem and hopefully will retrieve useless documents. If not, he could wipe the hard drive clean for all I care.
For almost 24 hours, I’m still trying to restore my precious files: lots of old .jpg files from my camera; some videos and scanned items; and mostly documents of my weblog, online activites and other useless attachments. The rest are applications for updates and for hardware, such as my bulky printer/scanner and that’s about it.
Today, the fruit tree has white flowers. I noticed the flowers coming out of the trees at work since the beginning of the storm week earlier this month. I guess spring is on its way. The weather was so warm upstairs (partly because the heater was running) that I opened the windows to let in the freezing outdoors air.
I napped but couldn’t sleep in the mid-morning and mid-afternoon because of the actitivities of family noises and a surprise visit from someone downstairs.
After the boy left, Paw and I loaded up his trunk with two towers and one functional computer monitor. I made loud noises to hurry up the old timers even though it was around 1:30pm. I wanted to catch the time and the sunlight; so I don’t have to worry about driving in twilight or nightime.
So off we went to Best Buy in Milpitas, CA where we went to submit the remaining three computer items for an E-waste recycling. After I inquired with the guy at the lobby, Paw and I loaded the hefty, yellow-colored cart and the three of us proceeded to the Customer Service center where I filled out the date, name, address, city, state and zip code for participating in properly discarding our old computers
Hopefuly, the components will be recycled and the monitor will be donated to teachers and students. I was planning on hauling the items myself during lunch tomorrow to a place located just behind my “temp job from hell”. But since Paw’s remaining strength was available to assist, I took advantage of that opportunity and fine weather.
Then we tried looking for a webcam there but the selection was limited. Further, we found it at Fry’s and Maw got eight CDs of classical music. I recognized most of the titles but helped her select the more familiar tunes from Claire de Lune to Moonlighht Sonata.
