Honestly, I’d rather be neither super intelligent nor extremely good looking. Why?
While being a genius has its benefits — from inventing devices for the benefit of mankind and pals to creativing beautiful works of art — no one would better appreciate the insane mind other than the beholder and others who resonant with similar characteristics.
Likewise, being a beauty brings on the beasts — mostly other good looking ones but other bad and fulgy types. And depending on how the beauty handles all the attention, no one would know what’s it like to fuss over accessorizing, to keep up with the latest fashion and to avoid having a bad hair day.
Now, if I had to choose either a brain or the beauty, I’d rather be a super genius. Sure, some highly intelligent persons are usually sloven in appearance and definitely smell (like me) but at least when told how to improve, they would have enough smarts to know how to buy the right clothes, bathe daily and act accordingly in a group setting.
On the other, if I had to choose beauty, I would be too dumb to think for myself — manage the household and handle finances. For whatever reason and Lord only knows, beautiful people tend to be rather slow but gracious to the needs of others in order to compensate for the lack of knowledge.
Now being both a genius and a beauty is a challenge. And in surprising ways, this could be possible. One could use both traits and take advantage of getting ahead of the game. By being beautiful, one could earn respect very easily from others and when the brain is put to good use — by saying the right things at the right time — the person could have fan-based followers, much like what charismatic individuals do in front of crowds.
