At around 11:29pm last night, I heard twelve successive sounds coming from the next door neighbor. I thought that each single sound where gun shots. But they were steady until the 13th one of at leave five rapid fire works going off. This was during the few minutes of laying in bed.
Earlier and prior to retiring for the night, I had read an EY online article about Haiti; an earthquake machine and how the people have “special gifts”. I was thinking about the beautiful people and the children and saw in a news video long ago how they celebrated in the streets despite the aftermath of an “unnatural” disaster.
And that’s what give me hope in Haiti, the people and their ways, even if their “voo-doo” magicians do what is best — by holding their grounds and sending love to the planet and its inhabitants.
