I awoke from my two hour, mid-afternoon nap and two dreams.
After we got out of the second house from the right, I turned around to get a glimpse my little brown house (second from the left three other large house) up in Antioch. There were white people living in between our houses. I saw some sort of partition connected from my house to partially block the view in front of their view. All four houses were located in a cul-de-sac.
I got angry at Paw for stopping the payment on my house and I offered to pay him back. I went through the white papers and saw some numbers. Some areas were blank and I didn’t know where to look for the data.
In my next dream, I sounded stupid over the phone as I tried to get hold of the hotel, where we were staying. The hotel was just a couple of buildings to my “right field of vision”. We were at the “back lobby” of this massive building. The lobby was dimly lit.
As I tried to communicate with the second or third representative transferred by the previous ones, she asked where we were staying. “I don’t know!” I said to her. Then I looked up high up at the ceiling “behind” me and saw large letter showing the words “Ransom”. I told her and as soon as I hung up. I knew that we will be picked up in a nice cab.
But the pick-up vehicle was an open, tour car. A Mexicano tried valiantly to wipe down the rain water from the seats. He smiled and told us that he didn’t have his Honda. We were in a hurry and decided to use our umbrellas while seated. The travel was very fast. And in an instant, I find myself indoors.
I actually glided down the VERY slow escalators with my umbrella in my left hand and while holding onto the handrails to the left. I went downward towards two to three levels towards the bottom-most level. At the base of each level, I worried that I would crash into pedestrians, who are wearing colorful and long winter jackets and/or hats. I screamed to tell them to get out of the way but each time I managed to avoid them. For whatever reason, my left hand didn’t “feel” the handrails and didn’t work to “brake” my speed nor did the umbrella on my right hand slowed me down either. But I felt the definite weight of the long, wooden umbrella as I tried to lift it in motioning the people below.
I found myself looking for the twosome whom I felt were to my “left field of vision”. And sure enough, there they were, struggling to get their suitcases out from the narrow elevator, which appeared to be behind smoky-dark but somewhat opaque colored plastic walls, which was underneath another stairway above. I saw Paw struggle out and I had rushed to help Maw pulled out her luggage. She appear like a tall white people. Both didn’t seem to look at me much or give a sense of recognition or excitement of my presence. We walked back around towards where we came and eventually found our room.
