For the past hour since 11:35am, I’ve been upstairs redoing my blog (AGAIN). The sunshine is now shining brightly after playing hide and seek among the big, fluffy, puffy clouds of white rolling slowly southbound.
Earlier this mid-morning, the rain came. With last week’s four-day effort from Monday through Thursday of the twosome in trimming dead branches and sustaining scratches on forearms by Paw, the rain water can easily water the dried trees. I helped to water the backyard trees with the buckets of rain water from the gutter. I got wet but not freezing cold.
Paw even made me take a few photos of him watering the trees with the gathered buckets of water. I took Maw’s photo of her chopping up chicken gizzards and hearts for her turkey stuffing of no-flavor, bread crumbs. The less salt in her diet, the better control of her high blood pressure and hypertension.
At the same time – the whole of this morning – I helped Maw prepare lunch of rice porridge with protein ingredients, steaming green beans, broccoli and carrots, and mostly washing and drying the dishes. I had to keep busy as this is a form of exercise and standing, too, helps keep the blood circulated in the lower extremities.
I love rain. I love staying indoors. I love being private and alone.
