Yesterday during a WM chatting session, we were talking about killing parasites in self-defence. I agree with that part of being human because after watching two shows Discovery Health for the past two hours, I learned that it’s not worth getting parasites inside the body! The shows tell horror stories of people getting infectious diseases.
EPISODE 4 of 6: Masters of Disguise
Parasites are ruthless, single-minded and above all devious. To become the most prolific life forms in the world takes a degree of cunning that others can only marvel at. Meet the most deceptive parasites on the planet, the “Masters of Disguise.”
EPISODE 3 of 6: Sex Maniacs
Perfecting the art of reproduction have made parasites the most successful life form on the planet. There are some who are violent, manipulative and have taken sex to the extreme. These parasites are sex maniacs.

One story was about a health nut. He loves to go jogging in the woods. He didn’t check for ticks and got a whole lot invading blood that his blood count was down to 29. That mean the baby ticks (or larvaes) were eating up the red blood cells. Also, he felt pain on his side and that was because of an enlarged spleen, which had a hard time cleaning his blood from the critters. He took drugs for ten days and felt better.
The other story was about a guy with bumps on his scalp. It grew so big that his bicycle helmet wouldn’t fit. At night he heard crunching sounds. One day the doctor covered the affected area so as to suffocate the botfly larvae residing inside his scalp. He heard a popping noise each time the doctor removed the critter.
Another story was a guy who kept coughing. He thought it was due to spraying trees as part of his job outdoors. He later coughed up blood. What he did was eat RAW craw-fish because it was the normal thing to do in that area. The eggs went inside his guts, then took a long time to travel up his lungs and there they resided for almost seven months before he got some drug treatment and felt better, too.
So the point is: being outdoors has a price. Critters love human hosts. Humans have tasty blood. That’s how parasites work: feed off the hosts, who are supposed to be smart enough to spray down with insecticides and check for any wounds after enjoying the outdoors! Also, do NOT eat RAW FOOD! That includes vegetables because well bacteria grows on the surface, too! Sheesh!
