From 3:13pm to 3:17pm, I watched C-Span on television. It was at the U.S. Senate floor on Financial Regulation. And I heard the speech by Senator Benjamin Cardin (D-Maryland).
He talked about adding a provision to this financial bill:
- To find out where oil companies are making payments. Quit damning here.
- To reduce finance of corruption in countries, such as Nigeria, where citizens are prevented from sharing in the wealth in their own country.
- To provide information for investors to make intelligent decisions in a mineral company.
Only God knows why I happen to tune into this discussion today because this is one KNOWN area of my frustration to date!!!
