After getting my haircut this morning, Paw and I went to the Quality Lube. Only I found out that the Pennysaver.com coupon doesn’t cover TEST ONLY for Smog Certification. The oil, lube and filter covers only SAE 10W/30. I needed SAE 5W/30 motor oil.
I decided to try to SpeeDee, where I usually get my oil change. I didn’t have to get an oil change because my sticker reminder said for 69,000. So I had another 2,000 miles to go. That place referred me to a TEST ONLY place.
Before Kevin W. processed the certification, he smelled gasoline leaking! He checked underneath the hood to make sure it’s safe and he found out that an `O-ring` doesn’t work near the gas tank.
Kevin spoke to us in Chinese, thinking we understand but physiologically appear of ancestors originating off the mainland.
He referred me the nearby auto repair shop, where Duke found out there may be also a possible crack for the fuel pipe area near where I dispense gasoline! Talk about safety hazards!
Because we had no ride home, Paw and I decided to go back home to get a second car. We found Maw chucking peanuts from their shells. Then we drove back to drop off my car for repair, which should hopefully be finished next Monday.
The whole ordeal may have saved my life and others, too.
