Happy Mother’s Day! Since I’m not a mother, I’m a pet-sitter to eight parakeets of Maw. The sounds of happy birds making joyful sounds would be:

`Kiss! Kiss! Kissy! Kiss! Kiss!`

Bugsy was especially happy when the twosome came over. He would bob his head up and down while facing one of the cage bars. His eyes would dilate in excitement. This is typical parakeet behavior. I guess all the birds are pretty much happy and they would do the same to self or with each other.

As long as they are FREE to fly around, that’s what make them feel good. It felt good to know the twosome came over, brought food of quiche (spinach artichoke and aged cheddar and broccoli) from Costco, strawberries and mangos.
