I’ve been reading online about how people would pray to an unseen `Savior` or connect to higher levels of spirituality. And all of this is about wishes to be answered. I believe faith is blind, period. I believe science has more validity than anything else so far. Junk science has no room on this planet.
Anyway, there is a Biblical passage about a barren old woman named [St.] Elizabeth, who was `miraculously` pregnant at six months. And of course her cousin [the virgin] Mary came by to visit one day. Surely there is a logical explanation. Maybe the couple hasn’t tried `hard enough` or that simply the woman knew how to avoid getting pregnant.
Whatever the story is, medically speaking, without a womb, the possibility of bearing a child with VERY remote. I recall my former manager, a Navajo. She was divorced but got married to a Mexicano. I see in her eyes that she loved him. His haircut was not professional, though. It looks like he wasn’t sincere.
And out of her love for this guy, she kept telling us her wish. With her outstretched right hand reaching upward and upturned face looking towards the sky, she would proclaim to the rest of her underlings as if beckoning the unseen `God`:
`I pray for a blessed miracle that one day I could bear his child.`

But she admitted in whispered tones within earshot of my presence to Leoni R., my former superior, that she had a hysterectomy. The old fart was of course mocking `God` and her inability to conceive the fruits that so many women take for granted. For moi, I don’t regret having children. Eventually, these brats will have their own attitudes and behaviors.
So there you go folks. This is reality. Believe in science. But it’s up to each and every scientists to prove their theories and cross check each other to avoid hurting future generations. They owe it to everyone, really. And the religious organization had better tell the truth too and stop scamming suckers into believing in miracles.
