`We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall![9]`
~Snippet of speech by Former President Ronald Reagan at Belin, Germany on June 12, 1987.
Today, President Barack Obama made a speech at Cooper Union in New York City about bank reforms. I managed to watch the last ten to fifteen minutes of the speech via cable programming this morning.
President Obama Tells Wall Street to Back Reform
The bank reform on Wall Street could be consider analogous to removing the veil between worlds of 3rd density here and their 4th density there. What Obama is doing now may be eerily similar to what Reagan has done in the past.
Like the Berlin Wall, Wall Street separated groups of people – families and friends; rich and poor; business and consumers. And both types of `walls` made enemies on the other side. And by tearing down or creating reform walls changes from virtual prisons to real freedom.
Again, I think weird. Take it or leave it.
