From one of my previous blog entries and prior to receiving this morning’s Eucharist, my mind was creating images again. In God’s big cauldron there is soup. And therein I see lots of ingredients.
During the cooking process, I see the `cream of the crop` rising to the top. But God doesn’t like scums. So he scrapes the greasiness with his almighty ladle.
I also see that God isn’t paying attention and some burn on the bottom of the container. But God doesn’t like burns. So he scrapes the charcoals with his almighty spoon.
I see that God likes those in the middle for they blend well together, making the greatest soup ever. This is the portion he eats to fill his soul. For you see, he neither wants the high-brows or the low-class.
Those two are cast out from his meal altogether. It’s not being lukewarm or being a moderate. It’s simply better to take the middle ground, the center of where love is located – at the heart.
A loving cook puts his heart and soul is creating the best meal for enjoyment and of course is nutritionally balanced.
