I’m feeling better for this week after two weeks of flu-like symptoms, which I’ve dealt with naturally and without flu or H1N1 shots. Nyah! I let the raised temperature of my body burn off the cooties and took some anti-histamine and a couple of pain killers. Using DC’s zapper helps too.
Anyway, I’ve been eating well, veggies, the usual meat stuff and fruits; although I’m not too keen on drinking fruit juices or eating fruits. On empty stomach, these acidic foods hurt my stomach. Bananas hurt my tummy especially. Orange juice hurts my teeth.
But I’ve noticed my `sensitivities` to pain have subsided for the better part of last year. Stubbing my toes don’t hurt, the falling metal rods of my canopy upon my face don’t hurt, or objects falling on my feet don’t hurt. Cuts and bruises hurt but the pain subsides right away. The healing, unfortunately, takes time.
Maybe my nerves are compromised and I’m not aware of any underlying `pre-existing medical conditions` because I’ve no health insurance! But for whatever reasons, I’ve used mind over matter to deal with pains. Taking pain killers is the last resort. Even those are TEMPORARY remedies and NOT CURES!
Anyway, I’m drinking prune juice diluted with our usual bottled water (processed from a local water store owned and operated by Vietnamese). This particular concoction works nicely on my innards, if you know what I mean. I find acidic juices more tolerable if I add water. Orange juice, cranberry juice and even apple juice are too strong for me, even if not from concentrate.
