So we had the same trouble with the CVS/pharmacy off Berryessa Rd. The clerks know what they are doing but fail to inform the consumers properly.
One clerk took our prescription for DuoNeb. I asked how much with insurance for $55.00 per box of 25-30 vials but $5.00 co-payment without insurance. That Mexicana didn’t mention that the quote is for a GENERIC BRAND! I hate them all!
They should mention that the `good, non-generic` brand is no just $45.00 for one box: The way they quote the price is strange. For all we know, that $45.00 is worth the entitlement to three boxes of DuoNeb instead of one box per the handwritten version of the prescribing doctor.
They should mention that the doctor needs to WRITE the words `DO NOT SUBSTITUTE` on the prescription to qualify for medically necessary formulas: It says so in one of many notification from the health insurance. Thank goodness there was an old, unexpired copy of a prescription with those words.
So another Mexicana, Nikole, was being rather `speedy` and I noticed that she dumped the package of DuoNeb to her left side. She dropped the ball point pen in front of Paw to sign and I took it instead to sign. I then returned the clipboard and dropped in front of her with a clatter onto the magnetic pad. She said have a nice day in an almost robotic fashion. So if anyone reads this: she’s creepy!
If I were Obama, this is one area to address: STOP CHEATING THE CONSUMING, PAYING CUSTOMERS! Why must patient who is already sick and dying fight for the better product and the better price? WTF? Friggin’ bureaucrats! Friggin’ capitalism!
