I know I came across a WordPress.com article on a proofreading feature long ago but failed to read it thoroughly. And after lurking around my dashboard a few minutes, I found the following via the User >> Profile section:

I checked all of the above features. No wonder my dictionary or spell-checker doesn’t seem to work!
