This is the time to look in the collective mirror and ask whether we like what we see or whether we can do better and do better together. I challenge every parent, community leader and adult to step up and join in this conversation.
No one, no one, should get a pass today. I challenge our students to sit down with each other, to talk, to listen and debate and come together, to create the kind of action we need. And again the students today from Fenger were absolutely phenomenal.
The first thing that entered my mind (when I first saw a blurry video of a black person to the left of the screen whack another black person the right of the screen with a pale-colored piece of wooden board) was that the honor student was at the wrong place and at the wrong time. But I believe the purpose of this victim has been set into motion – to solve violence.
I next thing that entered my mind was how the victim fell to the ground, almost fluidly. I thought that maybe this was yet another theatrical production or some sort of propaganda to clean up yet another violent city, like Chicago, Illinois.
According to the old soul who came over to lunch that day mentioned that violence has always been part of society, information flies through the air faster and it just so happens to be more noticeable with the press pushing this problem of the human condition into the mainstream.
I feel that certain groups of people (i.e. blacks) are more prone to VIOLENT tendencies. It’s cut and dry as far as I’m concerned. For example, a Filipino lady married a black man. She said when he (like so many black people) get mad, their anger is expressed rather loudly and unfortunately for her violently. She divorced him but birthed two children with the jerk.
In another example, I was riding with Eric (from Stockton) twenty years ago. He has a lazy left eye. Remember the Rodney King incident? Well, Eric had a bumper sticker saying something along the line of: `Support You Local Police`. And as we parked somewhere, a black guy caught sight of the bumper sticker.
Of course, I was sitting in the passenger side with the window rolled down. I could see the piercing eyes (and its white parts) of the angry BLACK man as he walked towards the car, hollering at us, nay, moi. The nutball thought I was white or something but I scooted back into the seat and pointed at Eric, who calmed the nutter down. As you can see, you damn idiots, I expect these crazy people off the streets!
So in order to solve violence, not just among the youth but everywhere else, clean out the bad stuff. That means installing Obama’s health care. And yes innocent people will die because of less treatment. Or just cut off their hands as justice, like what Muslims do. That will make these gangs think twice about doing the bad stuff to others.
Results: The experiment failed. People suck.
