Flynn's Paws: My Thoughts, My Gripes

Just heard over our local radio station KGO AM 810 Newstalk Radio, San Francisco, CA with Lyn Jimenez sitting in for Bob Brinker on Moneytalk.

A guy calls in and was steaming mad over NOT receiving a single damn penny from the now defunct Lehman Brothers. She told him that his stockbroker is NOT responsible for losing his investment, mostly preferred stocks.

The guy went on about a CONFIDENCE game, which is correct. The people involved in losing his money had the responsibility to protect the stockholders.

She suggested that the guy go online and research if there is a class action lawsuit against Lehman Brothers. He has not taken any action, not even arbitration.

She had to disconnect him because he started throwing a fit over the airwaves. I REALLY understand how he must feel when he can NOT pay his bills!

I see this as another sign of the time: FIGHT BACK! Anything about money is a scam because the money has to come from SOMEWHERE – either through hard-work or through borrowing in the form of capital or investments.

WAKE UP people!
