We’ve been avoiding parishioners and learned that people are two-faced, friendly in front but liars in back. From Edna and Dalino visiting us at home on 09/12/2009 to hand Maw her birthday card and Savorsky compact mirror to cruising together after what happened years ago at their homefront; from Fred and Rose bragging about their electronics gadgets to walking briskly away as if she didn’t have hip surgery; from Josie complaining about the garden, the priest and the alter servers to Poi bragging about her friends, there is Mercedes who won’t stop giving her cooked food made with the help of her husband’s fungus filled fingernails and passing her freshly cut, fragrant flowers while people are praying.
