This morning, I saw a couple of big flying bugs.
One was the biggest, fattest bumblebee. It was hovering around the little yellow flowers with orange center of our three potted bitter melon vines. This big beauty was SO heavy that it tried to land on one of the flowers, missing it once but landing on it safely on the second try, bringing the small vine pointed straight downward to the ground from the weight of this little fellow.
The second was a flying scarab-like beetle! This was about 1.5 inches in length. While I was trying to hand some laundry out to dry on our white-colored clothes line, I caught eye of it as it was hovering around the frayed ends of the clothes line attached to the black-colored iron bar of Paw’s bedroom window outside.
I unsuccessfully took two blurry photo of this event and messed up one movie as it hovered at eye level, coming towards me as I blew short bursts of air in its direction, not knowing for sure if it was going to bite me or land or me or what.
