Linda, the next door neighbor, is now talking to Maw. Linda is married to a blue-colored, one-eyed, Juan from Central America (Honduras). He moved in HER house for about one year after divorcing Billy, who has two children, now living with Linda and her new husband.
The guy is a bum, basically, claimed disability of an injured foot and/or ankle from a former employer and is not earning income while living free in HER house. Linda has a good job with the finance department with the local company that provides paid services of picking up and dropping off seniors to and from their destinations.
Now, Maw, the wise one, is telling Linda how stupid she is for not listening to the family and her sister, Mercedes. But I think there is really something wrong with a woman who wants a man in her life and is desperate enough to marry someone without a working car, education, skills, a job and money.
But the point is that guys (or Juan most especially) in general or anyone with an agenda — PLAY NICE. Maw knows that the guy is just waiting for Linda to sign a petition; so Juan and his family can move to America.
For all Linda knows, people are living in HER house, Juan’s crazy mother, another woman and a younger child, who may belong to Juan! I believe this is true. Because I dated a Mexican who has the cutest boy, Fernando. His wife was somewhere but I knew better NOT to get TOO involved.
So there you have it folks. Either I find someone whose relatives and/or friends would recommend me to get hitched up with a nice guy. Or I’ll just stay at home with my bio-units until God blesses me with someone worthy of my, err, sincerity.
