20090709-More Spooks

At around 1551PM and while Paw sprayed and mopped down the wooden floor, I fingered Maw to look out the front window. Both of us saw two guys looking at our house and then at the unsold house in front of us. Maw went over to the next door and saw Daniel G. talking with Juan, who was working in the garage with his compadre.

We noticed Daniel went over to the side of the house and check up on the electrical panel. The Mexicano said they qualified for a solar panel. I mumbled that if they were trespassing. Maw said they (the government) are still talking about the energy/climate bill and probably confused that with the already passed solar initiative.

Maw inquired with the white chap (a good looking one) if he was taking pictures of the house. He said he wasn’t and showed us a plastic compass, which was used to determine the best placement of the solar panel. He then handed us a business card from SunRun Inc. after I inquired with Daniel earlier and from the other side of a chain link fence, which separated both our houses.

Since we had a large eucalyptus tree on the ‘north’ side of the house, the chap discussed with moi how a southern to western facing roof would be ideal for the FREE solar panels. I’m a great sucker for innovation and wouldn’t mind having something for FREE from the younger generation especially if the salesperson looks attractive.

But later on, I asked myself and then Maw what would be the real reason for something FREE? Would there be a GPS tracking system installed to MONITOR our usage of said solar panels? Wouldn’t there be leakage from the flashing and bolts in our rafters after awhile even though silicon is used to seal the solar panels on our roof? I was about to ask Daniel if that thing would set sail in case of a rare act of God like hurricanes or tornadoes!

So the chap went on about how solar panels would cut our electrical bill of approximately $200.00 by HALF! I thought this was a good deal. A household paying a monthly electrical bill of at least $150.00 would qualify for consideration of solar panels. He also used my code word(s) that I’ve been bugging Barry about: FIX IT!

The chap asked Maw if she wanted IT FIXED. Maw, the wise one, smiled and refused. We wouldn’t give out our names even if the white chap asked and after Daniel G. wrote his on the ‘white’ side to their business card. At 1605PM, they left with the white chap disgusted and fat Daniel smiling at moi.

Bottom-line: Barry, if you, Al Gore and your global warming thugs REALLY cared about cutting costs, why not lower the electrical charges of each and every home and business owners?

We already heard how one town in the northeast suffered from lack of electrical power because there was no SUN during a snow storm to power the friggin solar panels! The cash registers wouldn’t work and the store owners wouldn’t sell their goods without electricity to power their damn computers! People were mighty angry and hungry, too. Yet the media FAILED to sufficient address the problems with solar panels for that region.

I might suggest installing those suckers in drier climates, say like in AFRICA! There’s lots of sun over there and China would profit from well-fed Africans, who could in turn work to repay for the installation and maintenance of solar-panels.

I don’t know but this global warming scam is really riding up my last nerves. Either FIX IT NOW or people will have to simply cut down on using less electricity by turning off all unused lights and unplugging unused electrical appliances. It’s easier that way.
