Kali: That is a regular wedding and not a full Catholic mass.
Right here, I heard the military-like soul (or ‘hard’ teacher) judging another based on her preconceived ideas of a ‘perfect wedding’. I also heard the ‘old soul’ feel hurt, once again, as if being attacked for choosing his path with someone who could put up with his behavior. Nothing is perfect. But hearing them debate leaves me disheartened for not compromising with each other.
All I heard that night were two souls not listening to each other. Their messages keep falling on deaf ears, each one wanting to be correct despite the truth, which always hurt. The constant emotional strain has affected their relationship. And both have not change by much. I have observed this over the years; yet both have come a long way and very slowly, though.
The fact, without emotion, was stated simply: One is a Catholic and the other is a Buddhist. According to the Canon laws of getting married with full rites under the Catholic Church, both parties must be Catholic. And this is in order to receive the Eucharist, or Holy Communion, which is supposed to be the flesh and body of Christ. Of course, being weird that I am, I always get the imagery of vampirism – the death of one for life of another. It’s creepy but true.
Anyway, I feel that everyone must learn the hard way. This unfortunately means getting hurt or hurting others during the process of ‘spiritual growth’. To summarize what I mean and why people have the free-will to do whatever they want, all I could add is to share the following passages from the Bible:
International Standard Version
Matthew 7
(Luke 6:37-38, 41-42)
1″Stop judging, so that you won’t be judged, 2because the way that you judge[a] others will be the way that you will be judged, and you will be evaluated by the standard with which you evaluate others.3″Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when the beam is in your own eye? 5You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
But does certain stubborn person discern what is right from wrong? Nope. They continue to do whatever they damn well please, even when they know they are wrong. They will especially disregard your feelings and blame you as if you are at fault when you think you are trying to ‘save them’ or at least share some wisdom so they won’t fall down too hard when the rainy days come.
6″Never give what is holy to dogs or throw your pearls before pigs. Otherwise, they will trample them with their feet and then turn around and attack you.”
I know the above quote is true. For example, a story goes that one medical doctor has a family born and raised to be medical doctors, except for one brother. He is the black sheep of the family and refuses to be as successful as his siblings, who try as they might to assist him in anyway they could. But he thwarts off their efforts in vain and chooses to be free and homeless, too.
So y’all see, bailing out those kinds will not do them any good. They will continue their path to destructions. Further, to hope that the outdated automakers and their union ‘thugs’, for example, will improve is far-reaching but bailing out losers really eliminates the ideals behind a capital, free market country.
This means, in my analogous comparisons again, socialistic to even communistic ideals will not teach the more selfish and hardened souls to change their ways and be more respectful of others than to themselves. But their purpose in some twisted, odd way teaches others not to be too greedy with money and too stubborn to retool the plants and retrain the old timers.
Moreover, for example, my parental units and other Filipino couples are hopeless, seeking lives as companions only. I see it’s hopeless too in the twosome; for they believe everyone else orbits around their ‘forced’ relationships out of timing and convenience, really. Our relatives, though poor, will continue as they are because that is what they are used to doing in their lives — gossiping and making babies.
Of course this is due to socio-economic hardships, which the government of the Philippines failed to take of it citizens. Now the hard working, taxes paying American citizens are too falling on hard times. And basically it is because of the government of the United States not regulating the pressure cooking efforts of capitalism. If there is no taxation, it’s good. If there is free-energy, it’s better. If there is unity, it’s best to work together.
But I always see hope that everyone will live to awaken in this lifetime. I see no riots happening in the streets for change. I see no martial law implemented to control the pests. I see nothing of the sort except the fact that people won’t enjoy ‘Winter Solstice’ as much with all these foreclosures and mounting, unpaid debts as current events.
All I know is that nothing is new under the sun, except for people existing side by side with other ‘species’ on this planet. Life as we know it continues to: eat, mate, sleep and die. It’s a creepy cycle when there are those preaching immortality and higher realms. But I’m sure the distractions in life will serve only as entertainment purposes only. Never mind.
