I’m an idiot. For whatever reason, I couldn’t figure out why my root directory is Public. It doesn’t matter if anyone views these files because I’m still within the thirty-day (3) cancellation period. So anything viewable files are not entirely private or important to me.
But since I’m still learning how to build my own ‘website’, I had to read more of the Yahoo! articles and found out that I MUST create one user name and then set a password. I already created one but didn’t know how to ‘Update Access’ and then ‘Finish’ my request. So I ended up deleting that user name and created another one much longer.
So now each time I want to view my pages, I would have to enter a password! This is so freaking inconvenient but ‘safer’, I guess. So I don’t really care what happens. Because, frankly, it’s getting tedious to maintain and even add some stupid ‘JavaScripts’ just to make my site more interesting. Noone is ‘really’ visiting my site, too. Blah!
Addendum on 10/08/2008 at 11:08PM: Again, I wasn’t thinking and had to restore ‘public’ viewing to the ‘index.html’.
