Well, I fixed my weblog site again. I wanted to update the look of three links located at the bottom to each of my pages for my `web-book`. The pages are listed under a Table of Contents. As mentioned in a previous blog entry, I modeled the layout of these pages based on the order of pages found in a typical book. On the top of each page is a word definition link to Dictionary.com.
Since I couldn`t find a clipart the size of thumbnails via online, I discovered the power of setting three `Custom Characters` to `Header 1` this evening. Initially, I couldn`t figure out how to get the minuscule looking `custom characters` to appear larger in my test blog entry. Then my big brain thought about selecting the largest `Format` as `Header 1` found under the drop down menu, which is defaulted to `Paragraph`.
I chose the left pointing guillemot (for previous), the right pointing guillemot (for next) and a black heart suit (for the `front matter`, `table of contents`; `chapters`; and `back matter`). The look of the threesome is now much cleaner. However, since the internet browser has a back button, the functionality of my modifications to the bottom of each `contents` page affected is quite redundant.
Originally, the two gray arrows were copied from MS Word, pasted into MS Paint, saved as .jpg to `My Documents`, uploaded into the `Media Library` and linked appropriately via WordPress.com. I will delete those two gray arrows from the `Media Library`, anon.
First, I highlighted the threesome and then click the `align center` button located at the top of my `Visual` tab under `Write Post`. Then I entered my personal messages for each one (a title=) using the `Insert/edit link` button also found on the top because I don`t know how to start any codes in the HTML tab of this particular blog entry without the aide of these buttons.
If you will notice, a message appears when the cursor hovers over one of the three `custom characters`. The `hover messages` works with or without a URL link (a href=). Below is my sample of newest appearance of the threesome. I did not include workable weblinks for the two arrows, just the `hover messages`. Enjoy!
