I’ve added five more pages with (Blog) ‘Stats’ as the ‘third’ page, which appears on the ‘topbar’ (or navigation bar), just below the header. The decision to place this newest page is based on my review of other websites. And since the ‘Faq’ and ‘Site maps’ pages were out of sequence alphabetically, I decided that this page belongs in between ‘Recent posts’ and ‘About me’. I figured since the ‘Site map’ was already perfect and all I needed was to insert the link to the ‘Blog Stats’.
The other four pages are children to the parent page ‘Stats’. I’ve included the four links to these new pages within the body of their parent page at the bottom. Above this section are three more statistics I’ve pulled from my ‘Dashboard>Blog Stats’ into a spreadsheet. I proceeded to copy and paste each ‘table’ into their respective pages; added bullets and blockquote features and my ‘copyright’ at the bottom of each page and assigned each page order starting with 1 and ending with 4.
Then one by one, starting with the parent page, ‘Stats’, I published ‘Referrers’ (page 1), ‘Top Posts and Pages’ (page 2), and ‘Search Engine Terms’ (page 3) and ‘Clicks’ page 4. The descriptions to each page were also pulled from my ‘Dashboard>Blog Stats’ of my free WordPress.com account.
I don’t think I’ll do this again until the end of this year or maybe every quarter because the pages are not self-updating; it takes too long to pull and paste the data and this is a free WordPress.com account. I’ve looked into the WordPress.org for those who know how to maintain their websites. But it looks like a lot of work and I’m not that smart to oversee any errors that may go wrong.
