The below excerpt was taken from DB’s blogsite entry via [http://uwantsun.myblogsite.com/entry46.html].
‘Our existence here is one of learning, giving, knowing, and being. What have you learned? What have you given? What do you really know?’
I have quickly read this article and his writing, once again, is as simple as straightforward as possible and hopefully this would encourage people reading his entry to THINK for once and how our actions, words and deeds affect others daily. Also, please try not to take his words out of context either. THINK people!
This is the type of no nonsense data I’d like to observe from people around me and the news media on televised programming worldwide. There is nothing sensational about the article but this seem to offer more practical, useful and down to earth for those persons in the most need of brain food.
Below is a quick summary in response to his questions. This is my personal exercise on defining my existence. I hope to finish this blog of mine quickly before being late for this morning’s BORING temporary job!
1. What have I learned? I have learned that people get hurt easily and each person has a choice to play the role of good ‘Samaritan’ when someone is in need of help. I learned that in order to help others, each person must learn to take care of him/her/itself. This means understanding one’s limits and when to stop the cycle of pain or destruction of one’s reality.
2. What have I given? I have given lots by my hard working hand and freely without anything in return. I learned that letting go of something or someone hurts and hoping and praying for the return is not often immediate or apparent. I know this because I’ve been WAITING for over seven years for NOTHING!
3. What do I really know? I know nothing. I am not psychic. I have to learn each event the hard way by personal experiences or by reading articles online articles where real people are not available to tell me their stories. I do not know if I take the right path or not until someone loving and kind enough directs or guides me.
