Today is the day after Thanksgiving and shopping at the Moffett Exchange (with 30% off prior to noontime) for my news clothes to wear to my temporary job next week went smoothly. The Navy Exchange price is almost half the retail price for popular items — Izod, Liz Claiborne, Basic Concepts, etc…
Attending morning Catholic mass, eating breakfast at McDonalds and locating the address to my assignment at ‘the largest investor-owned American water utility west of the Mississippi River’ was completed from 07:30AM to 11:30AM. The location is nearby where the fiancée of Brat works and is two blocks from an exit off Highway 101.
The shopping took only one and half hours and cost Paw around $300.00 (with around $111.00 savings), which I will gladly pay later (whenever possible). He was patiently waiting by the shopping cart and talked to another older Filipino, while Maw and I quickly scanned the red-tag sale (which were already 30% discounted)!
I got four pants (one black jeans, slacks of brown and black, and a dirty blue jeans that stretches), seven shirts (cotton, of course), and three jackets (two fleece with high neck and a shiny white one with embroidery stitching). My dry skin and electrical static made trying on some clothes, well, shocking and prickly.
‘Black Friday’ is really not worth the effort when the retail prices are nothing compared to military pricing and when the cost of waiting in line is wasted in emotions of impatience, anger and starvation for lack of food (or mostly liquid). I really took advantage of the sale today and we didn’t expect a sale because we seldom shop here anymore.
My new ‘look’ won’t attract some nice professional elsewhere because that is not my destiny. Next is working on my fat tummy and sensitive skin condition — both of which I suspect is really overeating and food allergies, respectively.
Living at home with the abundance of food stuff and succumbing to the temptation of aromatic cooking do no justice to someone (like me) with a hearty appetite. Lunch was turkey leftover and we forgot to buy my whip cream to top off my pumpkin pie! I will not be a happy pie eater without my whip cream!
Sunny is the day with clear blue skies. No brown muck was seen on the horizon of the Bay Area. I’ve went to the post office and sent ‘Chris’ my spare orgonite via USPS — Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Later I sent him a PM as an FYI and the other dude for my other donation. The big one is still pending though: I have not forgotten because his current situation is bugging the sh*t out of me!
