20070614-Sad Start

Thursday was normal but the evening wore on as I listened to Maw tell her story of one of her distraught friends walking one-quarter of a mile from her house to ours. As we looked out her bedroom window, the trees were stiff as green cardboard papers as no wind blew and the horizon of the skies was orange in color and the air was still warm.

I sat next to her tell of how ‘Eden Capricious’ had nowhere to turn. The old lady, who was in tears, described how the daughter had revealed a family secret that her own two sons and three grandchildren knew, except her. ‘Demonio Capricious’, an old man of seventy-five years, was being naughty towards his own daughter, ‘Donut’, since eight years of age. The old lady could see the pain of her daughter screaming each time she looked at the old man.

The daughter is now in the process of divorcing that abusive Vietnamese, whose verbal assaults from demeaning her family to not working while living free in the house up in Sacramento, CA. The husband was not supportive for the closeness of mother and daughter and had moved the family away from San Jose, CA as a good example of Asians dividing family units.

One of the old lady’s sons, ‘Deadward’, is also in the process of divorcing another Chinese, who has her family constantly visiting the house without notice and staying too long for their welcome. The stories from this son range from her family leaving extra food of their own bland likings in the refrigerator to talking in their own languages without concern for the son not understanding a word coming out of their mouths.

This particular Filipino couple continues to live under the same roof. But the old lady sleeps in the other room after screaming at the old man for having a demon inside of him for doing misdeeds to the family, such as gambling until the mornings, causing near fatal accidents on the passenger side of the car where the old lady sat and damaging the garage door with his vehicle.

The twist to this tale is their cruise together that is non-refundable. Amazingly, the old lady will go in spite of learning of her children’s plight. I am told that her three children take turns calling their mother on her new cellphone (which she bought) to make sure she is well and alive. With one son headed off to Chicago, the daughter is planning to move the mother into their new home together in Sacramento, CA. Together they will raise the grandchildren and live happily ever after.

To me this is a bunch of bull crap. I want to sympathize but I cannot understand how woman-kind continues to consider themselves victims in the grand scheme of this world. Those that are lucky to survive any abusive relationship should have a new place to live and a fresh start to freedom. Women should have other members of family, relatives and friends available to provide the support necessary to make the great moves in their lives.

I have observed the following: Family units should be close but not too close to stifle the freedom to do as they want and please. Any Maw can awaken to the truth not all Paws are all that bad. There will always be unity in many forms and love at all levels of vibration.

Furthermore, Maw has been calm and quite wise in guiding the distraught old lady (on the verge of suicide) to be strong and think of being able to assist her daughter and grandchildren when time comes to move to their new house. She was also to open up a separate account and divorce her husband. Divorce means freedom, by the way.

In turn, this life’s lesson teaches Maw that her strength is not to dwell on her struggles from the past but to be strong for those persons, who happen to cross her path in the present and future as a signal that her mission to live longer is not constrained to family members but to strangers from far and wide as well
