Here is a picture of a nice winged critter with two big eyes and two antennas. It was fluttering among the grass of our backyard and I decided to share this piece of happiness with everyone. I did see a dragonfly hovering around after taking this snapshot.
This picture was taken after I finished drying off the parakeets from their birdbath around 12:30PM and after hosing down my CB thirty minutes ago. We then had lunch of spaghetti with meatballs and garlic bread softly warmed from the oven.
Flynn’s Blog:
Brat called around 13:00PM and claimed he couldn’t make our lunchtime due to he was done with his outing wherever that was. I knew he wouldn’t come when I invited him two days ago, Thursday 08-24-2006. But the thought of having a meal here would have been nice.
So we won’t be coming home to eat dinner tonight or wait for the twosome to arrive to eat our already cold leftover of spaghetti. I wish not to take anything personal. But since they have a different schedule, I would not want to waste my time expecting them over anymore.
Maw and I as usual made noise about why some people do not learn to be nice. If indeed people wanted to visit us that would be nice. But for heaven sakes, the boy should be gung-ho about seeing his family since we do not see each other that often after four months of him moving out.
In light of my weird experiences with certain people close to ‘heart’ or strange to me, I have succeeded to drag myself out of bed in time to make breakfast for Maw and me. We had coffee freshly brewed, two toasts for her and a bowl of oatmeal for me.
Later I helped prepare breakfast for Paw around 09:00AM. He had his usual two toasts, warmed milk and apple. After that activity was done, I decided to wash my car. And I proceeded to put my ugly clothes on and sneakers to keep me from slipping.
So that car washing activity was done in about one hour. I washed and dried the exterior and vacuumed the interior. I had to use the orange extension cord for the vacuum to reach all the way into the driveway, which is slightly angled downwards towards the small street.
The next step was to put air into my four tire. All three were around 30 PSI. However, the front left tire had on 20 PSI. This third gauge confirmed to me that I needed to get my tires repaired.
I washed the electrically powered garage door with the remaining suds of car wash. The washing itself didn’t make the garage door any cleaner. The grim was removed nicely and I forgot to dry it and the drippings went on top of the two parked cars inside. Great!
After Paw finished his breakfast, he helped me clean up my mess while I put away the vacuum and air compressor. I invited him to accompany me to the local tire company where I purchased my wheels and tires.
So I called the place to make sure they were open and that the tire repair was free, which was great because I am still broke as heck thanks to some people I met. So anyway, I took my shower quickly and met Paw downstairs who was already waiting for me.
We arrived at the place around 10:30AM and had to wait around 45 minutes by Angel, whom I spoke on the phone at 10:00AM earlier. Since there was no room to sit around idly doing nothing, we waited outside for 15 minutes more.
Paw decided we should walk around and that is what we did together. I was concerned for his head knowing he does not wear baseball caps to protect whatever hair he had left in his old age. But he didn’t mind and off we went along one side of the street.
We went in and out the parking lots because there was not sidewalk. We covered 15 minutes one way, 15 minutes back, and another 15 minutes around the Fry’s Electronics parking lot. We saw they pulled my car in at 30 minutes.
Paw immediately used the toilet there as I waited with my tight sneakers off. I aired my stinky feet nicely and both of us waited quietly with other customers for another thirty minutes. Then I did my job and thought good things.
I noticed one customer waiting in line started scratching his left eye and the bigger clerk wasn’t smiling too much either. Most were Asian and I felt comfortable today and in the relative comfort my neighborhood.
So I’ve posted two more blogs with pictures to describe each event and I await to get ready to attend tonight’s evening mass. Once again, we will disappear from the house to avoid the boy who may not come to dinner on his own time.
