As mentioned in my most previous blog entry, I’ve been pulling old archives. I found a date when I purchased the painting entitled ‘Squirrel’ from a local artist named Kayomi. She lives in Campbell, CA. And on December 15, 2000, I paid her a visit to buy this work of art (12×16) for ‘Squirrel’ as a Christmas present. The framing itself was worth around $250.00 even though there were fuzzy remnants sticking out to show something was glued on the back. The painting now hangs near the base of the stairs in the house of Brat.
By the way, she has two fraternal twins with light brown hair. One is the older, bolder boy who came up to greet me as I sat ‘Japanese style’ in the living room with my feet underneath my behind. Then he started to cry as his equally scared little sister joined in the wailing. But I kept smiling at them as I waited downstairs while Kayomi got my painting. I believe I was on my lunch break around 01:30PM.
