What makes you nervous?

20230429-0158. Believe it or not, just being around people makes me nervous! I could just be a introvert but I do enjoy socializing or at least try to find enjoyment with others.

Y’all see, I growing more deaf and blind. And since I’ve been hard of hearing, talking in large crowds and noisy venues is just NOT my cup of tea!

I can’t carry on normal conversations as I’d have others repeat what was said and after years of reading lips or at least guessing what was said in context, my mind has hardened enough so that I just do NOT care for talking much.

With that, I’ve lost the conventional “social skills” to carry on with others. Ask me a simple question and the answers would be wrong or indecipherable. As bad as it may sound, that’s NOT true.

I just have a bad temper and demand to be heard and will cut off the conversation when it gets too much. I guess I want to be perfect but talking with a bunch of strangers is nerve-wracking enough!
