For the second time, Maw got a severe allergy of the lips, hands and everywhere reddish around the neck, back and arm areas.
We are inside a nice “Negative Pressure Room”, which has special fans and air filtration system s for those with breathing problems, especially those with TB, which they haven’t had in awhile.
So at 2300, she applied the Neosporin ointment to an open wound, which never healed from a cardiac catheterization on 5/18/2004 . You see, she’s allergic to the Neomycin ingredient of the medicine.
Then she showed me her stolen lips and red rashes/long vertical scratches on the inside of her right arm. Later I saw another red steak in the left part of her back.
A nice 29 year old, Korean nurse found a good vein in the right arm near the elbow and injected her with Benadryl, steroid and something else for the allergies.
We will probably be here until, say, six o’clock! And so this is a public service announcement: Get/buy health insurance in case of emergency because you will never know when you will need service.
Long ago, I recall one time in this same emergency how a young Hispanic male was propped up on an emergency bedroom and was smiling up at the nurse as if he want sick. His male friend was to his right while the nurse was off to the left of his bed and she opened/covered him with a white material. I was pissed that people like him abuse the health care system.
Though Barry’s mandate portion of the health care insurance law may be unconstitutional, the U.S. Constitution us just a “piece of paper” and out FAIRNESS to the rest if us, something has to be done to fix this expensive area.
Addendum: I drove 80 mph but observed traffic rules after gunning it on the free/highway. I hydroplaned at the intersection and turning right.
