I’ve seen and heard highly intelligent kids raise their ungrateful voices and wag their index fingers at their parents, who wanted nothing more than the safety and happiness of their kids. Unfortunately, many kids still blame their parents, who are accused of not “letting them do what they want.”

An old story was about a troubled teenager, the Shillster. Her mother, the Chingster, screamed at the foolish “child”: “Get out from in front of that van!” To the horror of her first cousin, Flynn, the Shillster silenced her mother in disbelief. The numbskull continued to wave her cousin’s brother onward within inches of her! Thankfully, the white van was re-parked safely inside to the right of their garage.
Another old story was about a troubled adult, the Squirrel. His mother, the Fallen, screamed at the foolish “child”: “Move out of this house if you are not happy!” To the horror of her elder sister, Flynn, the boy silenced his mother in disbelief. The numbskull continued to blather about his self-worth without acknowledging his parents’ generosity and hard work. Thankfully, a nice home has been secured.
