20220927-2240. Lo and behold! I have discovered a difference between a Folder folder and an Alias folder!
A Folder folder can be a Shared folder or Locked from sharing!
An Alias folder is Locked. Why?
After I selected the following folders for backup (Desktop, Document, Downloads, Movies, Music, and Pictures), the original locations of these Folder folders and now Locked!
Locked folders, however, still can be edited (move, delete, add, whatever).
The new locations of these Folder folders are now known as Alias folders and can be found under a folder named either “Mac” or “PC [followed by whatever number of PC’s y’all happen to own]”.
These new Alias folders can now be Shared folders or Locked! Just view either “Get Info” for Macs or “Properties” for PCs to see what I mean.
Yeah, so now I can click and drag stuff into the Folder folders that is placed into the left sidebar of my Mac.
No wonder I could NOT click and drag stuff: I placed the Alisas folders is “Locked” even if I placed into the left sidebar of my Mac!
So that is why these damned technical support forums are failures. THEY/THEM Live to give stupid answers/responses to lay persons.
I noticed technical support personnel do NOT give a damn as I found out many times by playing dumb. Really I’m dumb but know stuff. See?
So when I complain and whine, it’s legitimate and will expose you youngsters and foreigners poking fun at us seniors and veterans who are more polite than you blue/green/pink/purple/whatever colored hair fools.
Anyways, that’s how I learn. I click around stuff as “incoming thoughts” guide my paws-paws. That’s all. Thanks. FlynnsPaws.
Hello Flynn, nice, and good luck!
