  • 20100519-Weathery Ways

    Today is beautiful! The sunshine is out. The skies are clear and blue. The air is cool but obviously too cold for old timers to open their front door to let in some fresh air. This explains why houses of the old are stuffy and stink.

    Yesterday was gloomy. The sunshine was hiding for awhile, came and then went. The clouds were fluffy, puffy clouds of gray. Patches of blue skies came and went.

  • 20100515-More Spooks

    The three of us attended the evening mass. And we were `instructed` by “Minh” to sit in the pew directly in front of them. Little did I know the pussheads behind me wouldn’t stop making noises of clearing their throats.

    I kept bitching out loud in my mind and towards them to shut TF up! When I turned around to do that `Peace Be With You` deal, I saw that the annoying guy was Ben’s son! He and his mother wouldn’t stop their noises!

    After doing the `peace out` with the boy and then the mother, Ben stuck out his triangular tongue at me! That means he is a snake. As mentioned in my previous blog entry, I saw a quick flick of a tongue slither out of Ben’s pie-hole during an evening chat and after everyone had left.

    On top of that annoyance, Ben was praying and singing too loud, so loud that I couldn’t hear my LOUDEST self sing! I know I was loud because Claire, who was up in front and towards the right with her mother, smiled in my direction.

  • 20100518-Teen Inspired

    Yesterday and en route from Maw’s blood work in the afternoon, we heard Fred Thompson (R) – Former U.S. Senator of Tennessee and Former Presidential Candidate – over our local radio station – KGO 810am. He was telling his life story as a teenager who got married and made children at such an early age.

    His in-laws didn’t pay enough attention to him during their first year of marriage together. Eventually, he got to know his cool father-in-law, who asked him where he was headed and what he wanted to do in life. And Fred didn’t want to disappoint his father-in-law.

    Fred attended college while working night shifts and arranged with his wife in taking care of his children. Fred became a lawyer and then of course an actor of “Law & Order”.

    The three of us were amazed at the hard work Fred has gone through. And after hearing how he struggled during his growing years to prove that he could do more than retail and selling shoes, we thought Fred should have been president.

  • 20100517-Wake Up

    When the twosome were upstairs talking during Mother’s Day, I wondered to myself: Who would be the one waking up when the babies start crying – the heavy sleeper or the light sleeper? The answer is obvious: the boy would be the one getting up more frequently because he cares about people more so than his self image. The girl admittedly said that she sleeps as soon as her head hits the pillows and doesn’t stir easily during the night.

    I really pity the boy. Already his stress has taken a toll on his body. His spirit is willing to do many activities. His mind refuses to believe that he is tired at all and as a matter of fact continues to pursue life’s pleasures at the expense of his body.

    Already I see symptoms that he would fall ill first before the girl. His sporadic cough symbolically means he is trying to remove something from deep within his chest, as if it’s stuck in there and cannot or would not come out easily. If I were him, he should be honest why he chose his path and why he doesn’t listen to his heart that she is not the right woman for him.

    Instead his lower parts over-rode what his logical mind kept whispering to him: Don’t go there. But he did for convenience sake and to start a new life, which should have been making babies. But nowadays, it’s too expensive and unrealistic when there are too many laws, rules, regulations and flu shots, too.

    He should wake up and smell the coffee burning. He won’t be at peace. We won’t be at peace. He is living another lie. We are just putting up a show, just as the two cover their asses, typical of couples in love and for Christ. God, I should just throw up on my take on the drama that will go on and on and on…

  • 20100517-Sixth Finger

    I see various photos online of freaks, err, I meant, people with six or more digits for fingers and/or toes. Some are white, black, Asians, Indians, etc. My maternal first cousin, Ferdi(nand) had a sixth finger which was promptly removed when he was young.

    I believe his abusive mother, the aggressive one who went after my more docile but stupid paternal uncle, Floren(cio), had something to do with that extra finger. She was not favored to marry my uncle because the whole town knew of her meanness. The deceased old fart left a legacy of hatred in her four children’s hearts – to hate the nicer relatives of her deceased husband.

    His wound could be seen on the outside of his right hand as concentric circles leftover from a bullet wound or something like that. The scars are darker than the rest of his skin tone.

  • 20100517-Flattery Beware

    While waiting for Maw’s lung doctor, I read a nice poem about flattery between a spider and a fly. The poem appeared on page 41 of “This England” of Spring 2002 as `Beware of Flattery:

    The Spider And The Fly

    by Mary Howitt (1799-1888)
    “An Apologue: A New Version of an Old Story”

    “Will you walk into my parlor?” said the spider to the fly;
    “‘Tis the prettiest little parlor that ever you may spy.
    The way into my parlor is up a winding stair,
    And I have many curious things to show when you are there.”
    “Oh no, no,” said the little fly; “to ask me is in vain,
    For who goes up your winding stair can ne’er come down again.”

    “I’m sure you must be weary, dear, with soaring up so high.
    Well you rest upon my little bed?” said the spider to the fly.
    “There are pretty curtains drawn around; the sheets are fine and thin,
    And if you like to rest a while, I’ll snugly tuck you in!”
    “Oh no, no,” said the little fly, “for I’ve often heard it said,
    They never, never wake again who sleep upon your bed!”

    Said the cunning spider to the fly: “Dear friend, what can I do
    To prove the warm affection I’ve always felt for you?
    I have within my pantry good store of all that’s nice;
    I’m sure you’re very welcome – will you please to take a slice?”
    “Oh no, no,” said the little fly; “kind sir, that cannot be:
    I’ve heard what’s in your pantry, and I do not wish to see!”

    “Sweet creature!” said the spider, “you’re witty and you’re wise;
    How handsome are your gauzy wings; how brilliant are your eyes!
    I have a little looking-glass upon my parlor shelf;
    If you’d step in one moment, dear, you shall behold yourself.”
    “I thank you, gentle sir,” she said, “for what you’re pleased to say,
    And, bidding you good morning now, I’ll call another day.”

    The spider turned him round about, and went into his den,
    For well he knew the silly fly would soon come back again:
    So he wove a subtle web in a little corner sly,
    And set his table ready to dine upon the fly;
    Then came out to his door again and merrily did sing:
    “Come hither, hither, pretty fly, with pearl and silver wing;
    Your robes are green and purple; there’s a crest upon your head;
    Your eyes are like diamond bright, but mine are dull as lead!”

    Alas, alas! how very soon this silly little fly,
    Hearing his wily, flattering words, came slowly flitting by;
    With buzzing wings she hung aloft, then near and nearer grew,
    Thinking only of her brilliant eyes and green and purple hue,
    Thinking only of her crested head. Poor, foolish thing! at last
    Up jumped the cunning spider, and fiercely held her fast;
    He dragged her up his winding stair, into the dismal den –
    Within his little parlor – but she ne’er came out again!

    And now, dear little children, who may this story read,
    To idle, silly flattering words I pray you ne’er give heed;
    Unto an evil counselor close heart and ear and eye,
    And take a lesson from this tale of the spider and the fly.

    —

    I see myself as this poor little fly, who is caught in the network’s spider web of lies, unable to wiggle out and in the end will perish for foolishly believing in the fat flatter and his overseas pals.

  • 20100517-Dream Journal

    During breakfast this morning, Maw cried as she told her dream about her sister, (Jua)Nita, who appeared as a young child dressed in ancient, clean clothes.

    She was a smiling and very happy. She told Maw that she needed help feeding her children and needed milk and rice. Maw told her that she had stacks of rice in our garage and that she would give two sacks (sackos) of rice to her.

    So Maw told her Paw to help get the bags of rice. But for whatever reason, old grand had placed those sacks of rice in a poor location. The rice were soaked in water and muddy.

    The first impression I got was that the recent typhoon of the Philippines has left most of the rice paddy fields all muddy, rendering the rice crops useless, thus the people were left with no harvest or food from their staple crop of rice.

    Nita then showed Maw a heap of laundry on the bed. Nita was happy that Maw offered to gather up and help to do her laundry.

    —

    That was the first time Maw reported a good dream.

  • 20100516-Wise Words

    While eating lunch that morning, Maw said:

    `We are put here to work. We are not here to compete.`

    In other words, our existence is to fulfill the purpose of living. It’s not meant to show-off. Showing off is only impressing oneself, putting ego upon a pedestal, only to be knocked down by no one else but in the person’s own mind.

    While watching `Huckabee` on `FoxNews`, he said something along the line of:

    `Great intentions follow through…`

    I’m waiting to see how honorable that scout master, a respected community leader and teacher, fulfills his fiduciary duties to the unwitting speculators. Moreover, I expect the boy (as Glenn Beck once said) `to say what he means, and means what he says`. Both, however, have failed, which is typical of those born under the sign of Gemini – a double person, two-faced twin.

  • 20100515-Auto Woes

    After getting my haircut this morning, Paw and I went to the Quality Lube. Only I found out that the Pennysaver.com coupon doesn’t cover TEST ONLY for Smog Certification. The oil, lube and filter covers only SAE 10W/30. I needed SAE 5W/30 motor oil.

    I decided to try to SpeeDee, where I usually get my oil change. I didn’t have to get an oil change because my sticker reminder said for 69,000. So I had another 2,000 miles to go. That place referred me to a TEST ONLY place.

    Before Kevin W. processed the certification, he smelled gasoline leaking! He checked underneath the hood to make sure it’s safe and he found out that an `O-ring` doesn’t work near the gas tank.

    Kevin spoke to us in Chinese, thinking we understand but physiologically appear of ancestors originating off the mainland.

    He referred me the nearby auto repair shop, where Duke found out there may be also a possible crack for the fuel pipe area near where I dispense gasoline! Talk about safety hazards!

    Because we had no ride home, Paw and I decided to go back home to get a second car. We found Maw chucking peanuts from their shells. Then we drove back to drop off my car for repair, which should hopefully be finished next Monday.

    The whole ordeal may have saved my life and others, too.

  • 20100514-Dream Journal

    At around 8:00am, I awoke to the sound of Maw’s voice. I recall the following dream:

    Once again, I was in a classroom-like setting. The building felt English and in the country-side. The interior of the `classroom` was dark with high ceilings.

    There were three sets of couple – one male and one female. Each had a book in front of them. The guys were supposed to be the ones `summarizing` or discussing the contents of the books that they were supposed to have read prior to coming. The girls just sat there and listened.

    I saw one guy was flipping through the pages as if he didn’t read the book at all. The book of the girls were placed over the books of the guys but perpendicular in direction of the book below. I don’t know which one is horizontal or vertical in relation to the reader sitting down at the table.

    After the girls got married, it was their turn to `summarize` their books to the guys. Out of the three couples, only one couple got married.

    —

    The other dream went outdoors. A bunch of us were looking for something.

  • 20100513-Gravatar Grrr!

    I cannot decide whether or not to show a photo of my face (from December 2009) or an illustration of the orange sun for my Gravatar. By showing my face, I put my ego out in front for the whole world to see. By hiding behind the sun, that is all the people should focus.

    Maybe I don’t see myself as beautiful enough to be seen in person, which explains why I prefer to stay indoors the whole day, not because of `agrophobia` but because of injury without health insurance. It’s no wonder blogging has taken most of my life.

    As mentioned in my previous blog entries, without blogging I’d go insane. It’s because there were lots of confidential data from long ago that prevents me from being a whistle-blower. Call it national security. Call it tests. Again, I don’t care anymore if TPTB offs me of not.

    Whatever God has in store for me and the rest of us, it’s all about lessons to learn and obstacles to overcome, which explains why I’ve not yet exercised two to three more options to boot. I should share my sentiments with my family. But as cousin Shill once said:

    `I fight my own fight.`

  • 20100512-Conflicting Words

    On Mother’s Day, the conversation went on about life. This was in regards to destiny that can be created by the individual as opposed to faithfully believing in something that is conceptually invisible but everywhere, like `God`.

    Since the girl doesn’t have a `religion` and doesn’t attend mass or visit the temple but continues her lifestyle to improve her selfish image through proper diet and lots of exercise, Paw had bluntly said aloud to the stubborn one:

    `You have to believe in something`.

    Today, the boy came over for lunch. Like Maw, he has simple answers to life’s troubles. For example, I have a major problem with thugs. They are assholes. But they are teachers testing my limits. Once again, the boy emphasized the following:

    `You can create your own destiny.`

    `Take whatever course of action is necessary. At least you won’t regret trying.`

    `Don’t wait for a hand-out.`

    If my family only knew where all my hard work went, the oil companies won’t be spilling blood. I have two more options and those are based on online articles from long ago.

    I do not know which to believe – faith or destiny. Both sides sound valid. It’s confusing.
