  • Publishing site again…

Well, I will re-publish my other registered WordPress.com weblog site at midnight because the Blog Stats is ruined!

For whatever reason, each time I clicked on my OWN pages while signed on my account as administrator, the page view is counted and that’s not right! I wonder if the Support will fix this bug!

My OWN activities appear “live” since last month even though that site has remained on “PRIVATE” mode. I feel blogging has lost meaning because of all these hard coding changes.

The contents will be the old stuff of mostly pages instead of daily post entries, which can be found here in my primary weblog site.

Okay. I changed my mind about the Privacy Settings. I will go ahead and change the Site Visibility from ” I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose” to “Allow search engines to index this site.”

    It’s Living with Orgone.

  • After the Deadline message…

A few minutes ago, I was trying to update a “Private” page on my other registered WordPress.com weblog. And I saw the following message pop-up:

“There was a problem communicating with the After the Deadline service. Try again in one minute.”

  • Have you ever had to fire someone?

Nope. I would imagine it would be easier to let someone go when there is justified reason, such as budget crisis. It would be harder to fire someone based on insubordination (which is intentional prejudice, trust me on this one) and merit. I think I would build up the files/documentations, discuss the matter with the superiors with BROKEN English, seek advice from a married sucker, err, gullible mentor who speaks good English and use his knowledge to climb the ladder of success as a manager in a information technology job off First Street and have human resources fire that person.

Have you ever had to fire someone? Was it easier or harder than you expected? If you never have, how do you think you’d handle it?

  • Butterfly plant design…

Well, I’m trying a butterfly plant design with swirls and lighted orbs. The colors are pale in white, yellow, green, aqua and blue.

  • 20111024-Tweaking Again

For the past few minutes to an hour or so, I’ve been trying out different names for the Site Title and Tagline.

I wanted to keep “The Blogging Path” with/out the credit “by Flynn” as part of the Site Title. But because the credit already appears after the Site Title when viewing the posts for Mobile Site users, I had to create a new Site Title.

So I trolled the various online dictionaries and found that the word “Path” looks like “Pathetic”! And that sums up my overall experience with blogging online as the word perfectly describes as “Pathetic”!

I tried “The Pathetic Blog of Life” but the line wraps around to next/third line within the small box of the Eight theme by Automattic. So I tried “The Blogging Pathetic’s Life” but it was too long (winded). Now it’s back to “The Blogging Path” but with “A Memoir” attached with a dash.

As for the Tagline, it reads as: “Topics on Alternative Notions and Random Rants”. Again, I had to look up the meaning of notions but keep thinking about sewing notions, such as pins, needles, buttons, threads, etc.

I may change the names later on (again).

  • Chocolate brown background…

Since I didn’t like the “several pink hearts” of an overall FRUITY pink feeling on my blog. I’m trying another clipart image. This time it’s “Long stem plants on brown design” by iStockphoto via Microsoft. Again the backgroud image barely clears the items of the “Main Menu”. This one looks more “down to earth”. However, the transparency of the sidebar makes reading difficult with a dark background color.

  • Several pink hearts…

Since I was not satisfied with the way WordPress handles the background image of “The Shepherdess,” I found a nice clipart image of “several small hearts” of pink, purple and red colors from Microsoft via iCLIPART. I’m temporarily using it as the background image, which blends well with the background color of pink. However, the items of the “Main Menu” fade out into the background image and therefore cannot be seen too well. I think the pretty pink colors and hearts give my blog an overall feeling of FRUITY! I don’t like fruity. I want something “normal” and bold, maybe.

  • 20111023-Tweaking Again

About one or two hours ago, I’ve been tweaking my blog again. This time, my blogroll/links widget shows four menus: dorkboy, information, messiahmews and orgone. I figured the rest are my personal businesses and the blogroll/links are good to share SMALL businesses and other blogs.

As for the Ephemera section, I can’t figure it out. And after I’ve tested/updated the Categories, I found that the feeds and/or emails are being sent out for each minor edits! Blogging like this is messing up my experience.

  • Blank screen seen…

I was trying to refresh my blog site a few seconds ago and this is what I see:

    “Nothing Found

It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.

  • Jobs bill lock down…

    In recent news,

Biden Evokes Sexual, Violent Imagery Again in Push for $447B Jobs Bill
    Published October 19, 2011 | FoxNews.com

“Vice President Biden is stepping up his argument that rapes and murders could increase if Congress does not pass President Obama’s $447 billion jobs bill – evoking sexual and violent imagery in his sales pitch for the second time in a week.”

    —

Whenever I had heard/learned about how he came across so bluntly, my first impression/thought was that this was yet another attempt to lock-down the growing uprising/unrest/protests going on worldwide to occupy the streets with MARTIAL LAW! That would explain how the increase is justified despite the downturn of such allegations statistically.

  • More traffic wanted…

I noticed that there is a feature which would help to INCREASE my blog stats, a personal gauge on the health of my weblog. It is found under the Extras section of the Appearance in the Dashboard. I am still NOT sure if I should uncheck the second item but will test it out for a while after the Support team fixes how blog stats are recorded (as per my many suggestions).

    “Extras

    Extras updated

These are general extras that you can enable for your entire blog.

    • Display a mobile theme when this blog is viewed with a mobile browser
    • Hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that way”
  • Go Pro blue button…

Last night and right after I purchased a Premium Theme by team Automattic, I noticed a blue-colored button on the upper right-hand corner of my Dashboard. It reads as: “Go Pro”. So I just clicked on it and it brought me to the Store page: “wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?product=1003&view=purchase&loc=admin-bar”. This is what it read:

    “My shopping cart

Now I wonder if I could apply/refund my upgrade/coupon that I purchased PREMATURELY to take effect on the renewal date next year. Hmm. I’ll have to wait for the Support team to COME BACK until October 29 to see how they handle my previous request. I have some audio/videos I want to share, by the way.
