  • When do the ends justify the means?

First, I do NOT understand what is this English phrase “the ends justify the means”.

Second, it is the means that justifies the ends, not the other way around! After all, the ends cannot be reasonably predicted and the course of the means depends on many choices/factors.

Think along the here and now and whatever outcome/s may/may not manifest.

  • 20111125-Bored Again

Hallelujah! I’m bored again! What has Flynn been up to lately? Nothing but errands! I’ve sinned and registered yet another WordPress.com! This time it’s old photos of clouds, sylphs, nature (flowers, birds and bugs) and maybe people. So I’m uploading most from 2006 and this blog has slowed down the photos. So I’ll be back later on tonight to add blogs about random thoughts and other rants! Bahahaha!

  • Import stuck…

I’ve not noticed in the recent days of “testing” the export/import feature to WordPress.com and this is what I see:

    “Import WordPress

    Processing…

We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”

So I contacted Support yesterday and of course it will take them at least the current average time of 3 days to release my mess. I think I better just keep everything, except, my daily posts, together in one blog instead of splitting the entries into multiple blogs.

Addendum: Draft saved at 11:40:20 pm. Last edited by FLYNN on 20111124 at 23:38:49 PM PST. The export files for “Posts only” do NOT include MEDIA, which will NOT show up on other registered WordPress.com! So that’s really not good.

  • Blogging for the long haul…

I am most produtive at night when all the house chores and other activities have been completed. I can realistically write very few thoughts nowadays. My notes via the “Memo” apps of my cellphone help to remind me of mundane events but the inspiration to blog about anything worthwhile has lost its spark, magic, enthusiasm — almost like going through a mid-life crisis.

Ask yourself, when am I most productive? And how much can I realistically write? Get a blogging buddykeep a notebook with you and jot down ideas, phrases, story lines the old school waydon’t force it.

Here are some photos showing fruits designed in a basket. Our Tom Turkey proudly poses next to this gift item from the boy.

  • Registered more blogs…

So what has Flynn been doing today? Nothing! Except blogging! That’s right! I’ve registered three more blogs to cut the size of my primary blog and to split those post entries based on popular categories: One blog is for dreams, another one is for scary stories (which I’ve yet to figure out) and the latest on is on “verses“. I like my blogging verse because it has mostly poems, along with lyrics from music and inspirational quotes and prayers, too. The spooky stuff might include divorced nutters, spooky characters, numerology, conspiracy and other weirdness. I tried splitting off weather and orgone together recently but the blog entries are a mish-mash of rants. I’ll have to sleep/meditate on how I want to handle the categories. All the blogs use the Twenty-Eleven theme, until something better in Twenty-Twelve comes along in the near future.

  • 20111119-Trying Theme

A few days ago, I kept switching themes. And tonight, I noticed something changed about an old theme:

    Blix by Sebastian Schmieg

A tried and true two-column theme with widgets and a customizable header. Read more about Blix →

It has time stamps hard coded into both the “index page” views and “single page” views! Wow! I like how the index page doesn’t have the cluttered look of the tags and categories. Maybe the nice time stamps have been there for a while but I’ve not noticed until a few minutes ago.

  • Have you ever protested for anything?

Nope. Nothing. Throughout eons, many fought, many died. Fast forward to the current era, nothing has changed — more war, more deaths. The end.

    http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2011/11/16/have-you-ever-protested/

Have you ever protested for anything? What was the cause? If you haven’t, what would it take for you to go stand up and protest for (or against) something?

  • What would you do with a year if your goal was to become wise?

I’d travel around the world and go to that far off place where they have those pieces of wooden records read by old people to the traveler. It is said that the readers are waiting each arrival and are meant specifically for that individual. Neat. Then based on the broken English and interpretation, I’d like to become wise.

    http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/what-would-you-do-with-a-year-to-be-wise/

If you had the resources to spend a year doing whatever you’d like, and you chose the goal of becoming wise, what would you do with the year?

  • AT&T DVR message…

Last night, Paw had the same message we got this morning around 7:40am, when we started a different AT&T DVR in the dining room prior to this morning’s breakfast:

    “Update in progress

Your television services being updated. Do not interrupt if progress continues. If update has stopped for 15 minutes, remove the power cord, wait 10 seconds and reattach it.

    Update [count down here] complete.

Estimated time remaining: [count down here] minutes.”

  • 20111113-Dream Journal

I dreamt of shopping with Maw who was on my left field of vision. I wandered through displays of jewelry on my left where two people were sitting. I bent over/squatted at the waist/knees to see a display.

Somehow a display of earrings on the right end of a table caught my attention twice. I saw the words “crystals” above the topmost rows of VERY SMALL earrings, the size of a single chickpeas, I think.

I stared into the clear case and “studied” it from front and back. Somehow I managed to remove these earrings from their “cardboard” mount (or some other material). At least six golden earrings fell on a table. On either end of this single and only row, I removed the two larger ones by hand.

Initially, I saw these two as milky white. Then for whatever reason, the first grape-sized piece removed from the right-most row was iridescent in rainbow color.

It was a cut crystal encased in dark gold. I could see the dark gold change in shimmering rainbow colors of purple, mostly blue, ect.

Its matching pair had a raised design of small, dark blue-colored grapes. The pair was already on the table. I replaced this piece.

I the noticed the “captions” to each piece to the left of this one. The word “horn” was underneath for the one to its “left”.

  • Un/loading roofing…

Seniors Art and Eddy un/loaded roofing materials and supplies for about ONE HOUR. At 11:55am, they finished loading their Pacific Supply Fremont 544D-10 GRADALL (KU6X78) onto the flatbed truck. They placed whatever the workers would need throughout various sections of the roof. The rains fell lightly and the winds were FREEZING cold.

Earilier and at around past 9:20am, the rain started after Oswaldo C. (the installer) told us they will get started tomorrow when the weather clears up. Motorists came and went. One Asian guy with his big black long black truck wouldn’t stop smiling at the sight as he drove south-west bound on MY long stretch of road. Here are some photos.

Addendum: Last edited on 20111111 at 12:04:45 PM PST. Business in the private sector can be good (for jobs) as long as people know what they want (color, style, etc.), work hard (overtime) to get what they want, save enough money for the RAINY DAYS and praise the Lord/Buddha/Allah and pals for allowing “business as usual” in a capitalistic/free economy, even during bad weather!
