My rude awakening was when I told the truth. By lowering my pride, I revealed my stupidity and greed. Out of compassion, an elderly couple gave me a generous birthday gift meant to help me get out of a bind. I have no other means to repay them except my gratitude and daily servitude to their needs. The only other favors were prayers to keep from going insane, a job to stay afloat during these economic hardships and financial distress, good health and nice weather. Everything else is empty.

Topic #96: Describe a debt you have yet to repay. (Hint: it does not have to be a financial debt. Did someone do you a favor? Give you great advice? help you out of a bind?)

Just get rid of everything and anything that involves working behind the computer and let the computers take over the routine jobs. People are meant to use their bodies to avoid clogging up their system, not prolonged sitting which can ruin backs; kill nerves and brain cells, too. Manufacturing jobs could benefit from such overhaul of repetitive tasks. Dangerous jobs too can be taken over by computers. Perhaps, robots should be created to take over human functions. After all, aren’t humans whiny creatures that cannot withstand long hours, extreme temperatures and do suck out benefits from their employers?

Topic #95: Pick something that annoys you and redesign how it works. Are you sick of the long lines at the DMV? Bothered by waiting in the doctors office without being told how long you have to wait? Pick something that annoyed you yesterday, and describe how you would redesign or change it to make your annoyances go away. Could be a device, a machine, a process, a place, anything.

When the boy left home base on May 1, 2006, I was the happiest adult ever! I realized that I could actually “clean house” and arrange it according to Feng Shui! Gardening and house chores are easily done without complaint on who needs to take turns because I’m the only one who could speed up, compared to the elders, whom I still rely on for logistics and major decisions. With that said, I’m still a child around here and quite a spoiled brat, whose tantrum is still uncontrolled. That’s not to say I don’t get away with everything. For you see, I’ve been handed a $1,000.00 bill for usage of the internet of the home owner. I asked him to add utilities, water and food to the bill. So right there, I’m far from being a adult because if I were, I wouldn’t be homeless. I’d be more independent and probably happier, too, without the baggage of family responsibilities. Yuch! I guess I’ll never grow up: “Forever Young”.

The last person I’d want to be stuck in an elevator is my doppelganger! OMG! She won’t look presentable at all — no make-up to hide the blemishes of her combination skin and uneven skin complexion, no sense of style for hair (which was cut too short that it makes her looks “boyish”),clothing (which is really meant for the senior citizens) and accessories (which doesn’t match with her mostly gold jewelry and one stainless steel watch she ever owned), and no perfume, meaning I’d smell her malodorous presence as would a devil (or the aromatic smell coming from my favorite garlic and onion).

The best gift is aging, the ability to die and not remember ever having to reincarnate. The worst gift is life in a fleshy body. Instead of enjoying life, living is a struggle — eating good food makes one fat, sleeping too much is just as bad, including “sleeping around” with multiple partners (or cheating), and pooping is a matter of processing already dead matter into waste. That’s how the world has been: The reverse of what it is supposed to be — peace. What appears to be beautiful is really hell. And war occurs inside one’s mind and outwardly as shown on mainstream media. Have you ever met someone so wonderful that you later on discover how equally if not more awful the dark side can be? Have you ever wondered why nature shows one predators killing a consumer? Have you noticed how repetitive the cycle of life and death is played?

If I had to re-gift, it wouldn’t be material objects. Although some place emotional values on these man-made trinkets, it’s really all empty. After all, only the beholder would fully appreciate what has been given as long as the memory is intact. Not amount of public viewing would be understood as the original recipient of precious thoughts. Once forgotten, a gift has but lost all its value until someone else cherishes said item(s) as much as the previous “owner(s)”. Wouldn’t it me nice if you could just hand someone your karmic debt and know what it really feels like to actually gift and re-gift? I’m sure the feelings would be mutual, eventually.

What’s a “Star light, star bright?”
“Wishing on a star, To follow where you are?”
Only your golden hue, and not your ruby shoe.
But for now, “put on your red light” and walk the night.

Author’s note: Instead of taking my own photo, I’ve decided to try writing poetry based on Matt’s weekly photo challenge.

Topic #90: Imagine you get a magic gold ticket that lets you travel through space and time to grab any band, or music act, living or dead, together or broken up, and transport them to play live at a venue near you. Who would you pick? Why?

You’ve now completed 25% of the challenge! Feedback for us? by Erica on March 31, 2011

    • I’ve answered the poll: What part of this blogging challenge has been most difficult?
    • And this is the most popular answer: Not getting distracted 29.17% (14 votes)

Addendum thought: Should we assume that most bloggers have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)? What do you think?

I’m on the “Beach of Time”. The sands are endless and all around. The waves are crashing and sometimes calm. The sun is shining. The air is still, cool and smells of ocean. I notice no critters flying, swimming or crawling. To my right is foggy bank leading to the “past”. To my left is a foggy bank leading to the “future”.

First, I choose to close my eyes, relax to a blissful mediation and count backwards: 5-4-3-2-1. And I see myself walking back to the “past”. I try to tell myself not to get involved with foreigners and so-called religious leaders. Try as I may, I couldn’t hear myself and went ahead as expected. I closed my eyes again, counted forward 1-2-3-4-5 and walked back to the “Beach of Time”.

Next, I choose to close my eyes, relax to a blissful mediation and count backwards: 5-4-3-2-1. And I see myself walking up to the “future”. I try to tell myself not to worry anymore because my past was the best path without regret. Try as I may, I couldn’t hear myself and was convinced I made a mistake. I closed my eyes again, counted forward 1-2-3-4-5 and walked back to the “Beach of Time”.

I finally realized that my time is here and now: And it’s perfect. No matter how I dreamed, lucid or not, I’m always meeting people and learning as if those lucid dreams are real but “foggy”. Maybe I’m in a dream right now because I’m actively programming my matrix for harmony. There are no other words to describe one’s purpose than balance.

You cannot ever recover a lost trust. That’s why I hate TPTB. They are “Legion”, like the blind fools in their prayer groups for the “Legion of Mary”, the Babylon Harlot riding high and mighty upon her idol worshipping of Mammon and Morons alike.

I cannot forgive a broken trust. Because I cannot forget what happened and why I worked so hard believing in their lies. And with those hard lessons and as a fool myself, I’ve learned to stop letting these and other fools betray my good faith in them.

Topic #88: How do you recover lost trust? In a person? In an idea? Bonus: If someone lets you down or betrays you, how do you learn to forgive? And can you possibly learn to trust them again? Why or why not?

I would like to master the skill of teleportation with the option of invisibility. If I wanted to “observe” what is going on with my intended “target”, I’d like to teleport without having to suddenly appear next to someone and frighten them. Martial arts is too violent. So practically, I’d like to download the ability to heal with my hands or at least have a way to express some “words of wisdom” coherently, diplomatically and without offending insane and disabled people.

Topic #87: If you could master any skill instantly, what would it be? Bonus: In the movie The Matrix people could download any skill for use inside the virtual world. Is there any skill you think would be impossible to download? Why?
