  • Write about a mistake you can learn from

Nothing could be compared to the story of General Stonewall Jackson, who died after being shot by is own troops on May 10, 1863). It was most certainly a grave mistake. And if I had to write about a mistake I can learn from (not that I killed anyone), I wouldn’t own any pets. They are like family.

And as a parent to my pet parakeets, it’s hard work to keep them alive by feeding, watering and making sure they are in good health. Of course, they are fattening up and will die a slow death because they won’t eat anything else but seeds.

Much like plants that needs DAILY attention of plain water and FOOD supplements as fertilizers, coping with death by my own hands is very hard on the emotions and causes fear in me from raising children of my own, by the way. It’s sad but true. I cannot take death.

  • Pick a blog or blog post you enjoy and blog about it.

I have two blogs that I enjoy but won’t blog about those. Instead I’ll pick a blog post from my site: It’s this one! And why not? It is the most up-to-date entry and there is nothing more to say except to read this one and older posts, too! Boy this must mean all my posts are enjoyable! You be the judge.

  • Make a prediction about life in 2021

As I look back at life in 2001, I remember thinking 2011 would be like a slow boat to nowhere. Compared to what actually happened, it is exactly where I left off — nowhere.

Going forward to 2021, I’m thinking about predicting something along the same line — nowhere. As I see myself much older, I can do nothing more than maintain a relatively simple life among friends who come and go and without a family to call my own.

Roses cut a deep wound upon
you lips while you “cast your nets”
upon the waters below to capture
    your suitor’s affection.
    Though your veil protects your
    pale skin from unwanted pests,
one was willing to catch your bait.
    The catch last night
    was worth the wait.
    As you continue to ride
    downstream for tonight’s
    next harvest.

  • Write about something you see

When I 1) stood up; 2) turned to my right; 3) counted the objects I see, and stop at #3, 4) here is what I see in #3:

I see three sections of the wooden blind and beyond the blinds are the trees in the backyard. The trees are gently swaying to the cool evening breeze. One window is open to let in the nice breeze.

To the left of the bedroom window is a tall lamp. It’s base is all black and it’s white frosted dome glass is open at the top. A electrical switch is on the wall between the window to the right and the lamp to the left.

On the knob of the lamp is a hanging object from a red cord. Below this red cord is a symbolic mobile showing two golden fruits on top followed by two golden fishes below. And below that auspicious display is my old “fake” crystal ball.

It was popular during my New Age days back in the 1990’s. It used to hang in my rear view mirror but the bumps while driving made the crystal object his the windshield. I didn’t want a cracked windshield. which is too expensive to repair.

  • What character from a book can’t you stop thinking about?

The character from a book that has made me feel so close to “it” that I simply can’t stop thinking what’s gonna happen next happens to be: Winne the Pooh. He is a bear of small brain. And like the Scarecrow from “The Wizard of Oz”, I keep wondering if he will ever get something better than a brain. How about a soul?

  • Are you happy or sad the Space Shuttle is finished?

I am happy the Space Shuttle is finished because I do NOT see the benefit of space travel or living in space; since we cannot get a grip with living on this planet, it wouldn’t make sense to pursue something that is only around 200 miles in OUR upper atmosphere. Everyone knows about the radiation belt, or so we are told by NASA and pals. Maybe one day, we will remember our purpose and get along together again.

Endeavour Crew Prepares for Shuttle’s Final Flight Monday
    By Clara Moskowitz
    Published May 15, 2011 | Space.com

When six astronauts launch into orbit on NASA’s space shuttle Endeavour Monday, it will be the last liftoff for the well-traveled orbiter.

Endeavour is scheduled to blast off from Launch Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at 8:56 a.m. EDT (1256 GMT). Weather forecasters predict a 70 percent chance of good launch conditions.

This will be the second launch try for Endeavour’s STS-134 mission, after a broken set of heaters thwarted an attempt on April 29.

  • Should you help homeless people? Why or why not?

You should NOT help homeless people because that is their choice whether by their own fault or not. You see, we have this homeless lady hanging around the Berryessa Center. For all we know she has loving family members who are WEALTHY. She just refuses to take her medications and wanders around freely.

In another example, this other homeless lady was asking for a free hand out. You see, people who are allegedly homeless have means to get around town. This lady has a car, a disability placard and smokes. Most homeless people have addiction to drugs and alcohol and therefore begs on the street.

I’m a believer in karma. I just don’t believe in reincarnation because most of us do NOT remember our past lives. It is with my assumption that once a person dies, debts are forgiven and the soul can move on to experience a different set of memes. As for the homeless, they assumed that status in a lifetime and therefore add to the collective consciousness of their experiences of less.

  • Describe your first job interview

My first job interview went well enough to get hired. It was a data entry position in Sunnyvale, CA. But the company moved to San Ramon, CA.

“Leslie” was the hiring manager and she was a very pretty Japanese lady. She thought I was Chinese after she hired me and snapped her right fingers in disappointment but smiled at her presumption.

I don’t remember much from the interview, except that it was a dimly lit meeting room. She was seated to my left and when she left to talk with her boss, she left her business card on the desk. I wasn’t sure if I should have taken it but she scooped it up from underneath the stacks of files she had in her hands when she returned. That’s when she said I was hired.

  • Describe the last time you were truly surprised.

The last time I was truly surprised was when Paw opened his birthday cards from the boy and me. Both of us bought him the same card! We laughed but I was cracking up most of the time. I couldn’t help it. I traveled locally just to buy the same card that the boy wasted gasoline to get hours away! Now you understand the difference in personality and how some siblings just do NOT get along or operate in the same fashion.

  • If your house were on fire, what would you grab first?

I my house were on fire, I would grab my purse, cellphone and if I had the strength the BIG parakeet cage. Then again, I had a nice aluminum carrying case with some paperworks in it. But that is upstairs and I would probably will be in a panic and forget about it.

    Looking at the skies
I see the heavens of blue
    And wonder how high
I must fly to reach my God
    and my Savior.

    If I only had wings,
    like a butterfly, surely
    I could fly high enough
    to reach my God
    and my Savior.

So I asked the little butterfly:
“You have wings. How high can you fly?”
But the little one couldn’t speak
and took off into the skies
to show how high she could fly.

I looked on and on but lost
    sight of the little butterfly.
    Then I realized that I didn’t
Need to fly high in the skies
    Or send my prayers there.

All I needed to do was look
    down at ground level and
at eye level. All around me
there is that piece of heaven
on earth and in my backyard.

Among the flowers and upon a blue table,
    there sits another little butterfly.
Right there, I saw God in a form
smaller than my heart but large
    enough to show me heaven.
